Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and been vaping and off paper smokes 1 month now. Been having some issues with my mouth, mainly what feels like a film on my tongue and roof of my mouth. Also feels like it's burned. I smoked 1/2 pack +/- for about 30 years. I have the basic setup, as I'm wanting to break my nicotine addiction completely in the future, and I don't want to invest a ton of money vaping. I'm vaping a 12mg 90% VG in an Aspire BDC. Flavor is sweet tobacco. I also have the original tank which is an Axis e-cig. My battery is an eGo-T.
The guy at the vaper shop told me the 90% VG was too thick for the Aspire's coils. He wanted to sell me a $60.00 tank (with wicks) and I would need to buy a different battery.
When I told him I wasn't interested in spending boatloads of money on this,He then told me I was drawing too hard on the e-cig, and to run the 90% in the Axis, and a 50/50 mix in the Aspire. I'm highly confused by all this. I want to enjoy simple vaping, but last night I was ready to go buy a pack of smokes! So, any help will be appreciated in this. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums, if your using higher vg in a aspire tank with bdc you might have to close the airflow slight if your getting dry burnt draws. This will help more juice get to the coil. Those axis tanks are a ce4 version and the 50/50 work better. I say he is wrong a swap juices and 50/50 in ce4 and 90 in aspire. The 50/50 will give more flavor because pg is the flavor carrier.

Last is drink more liquids, vaping will dry you mouth because both are absorb water in you mouth.

Stick with it you will feel better in the long run.

Thank you, Sthur for your reply, and your advice. I am willing to experiment somewhat with different mixes, a 10 ml bottle is not too expensive (esp.since a pack of cigs is around $7-$8). I've read where some people have a reaction to the flavoring, so the next time I'm out and about,I may pick up a bottle of non flavored.I just bought a 10ml bottle of 6mg,will see if that makes a difference. I've always been a big water drinker, but will make a conscious point to drink more. I really would rather not go back to smoking paper cigarettes, I don't miss the smell,or the messy ashtrays. And as I stated earlier,my end goal is to break my nicotine addiction completely in the future. I've started using mouthwash at night, and that seems to help with the filmy feeling on my tongue. I'll keep on,keeping on, for now. :)

I've been vaping for about a year now, but only recently did I decide to fully give up analog cigs for vapor. It can be a rough transition if you're not willing to put enough down to get a decent rig, since the cheaper ones really don't offer the same type of satisfaction. Just know that e-cigarettes are going to take adjusting to, and that they may not offer you the same feeling a regular cigarette would give you. If you're serious about quitting though, it's an amazing avenue to go down. There's more to vaping than what meets the eye; this forum itself is a great example. There's an entire community behind vaping that will help you learn everything you need to know. It's all customizable, so it's really quite a fun hobby once you get the hang of it. Don't be afraid to sit down and do some extensive research on it, because it WILL pay off. Keep it real man, and welcome to the fourm :)
