Alrighty so here goes, I've been vaping for about 6 months and I drip on a Ego with a debridged lr510 atty I am looking into to getting a mod but I'm not sure what I should get. I would like to get a little more throat hit and vapor. I've been looking at the prodigy v3.1 just not sure whether to get the 3.7 volt setup or the 6. Is there a big difference in vapor production and throat hit compared to my ego setup with a lr510?

consider getting a variable volt mod
such as the buzz from notcigs
or provari from provape

but to answer your question;
-there will be no differences in throat hit, flavor, or vapor between your ego and a 3.7 volt prodigy because they are both 3.7v
-the 6v prodigy will have a noticeable increase in vapor, throat hit, and vapor. but you will need high voltage attys for it.

You are going from an ego which is 3.2v. The prodigy 3.7 with the same lr atty will give a nice boost in vapor and th. a 3ohm atty on a 6v will be considerably more powerfull. I would say go 3.7 and see how that treats you. a cheap variable voltage mod would be the best bet as you can try multiple combinations of atty's and voltages. a buzz is $100 or so. If you have the money the provari really is great. I bet you would see a nice improvement with a 3.7v device.

A con with 6v is the 123'a batteries won't give a long vape time. They will also drop of quickly. So they start off strong but get weak quickly. Depending on what atty you use 6v will kick you in the pants though. A high resistance atty at 6v will still give a stronger hit then a lr on 3.7 or 3.2v. A lr on 3.7 is roughly similar to standard res at 4.7v.

Oh to be clear the prodigy will do both 3.7 and 6v just using 1 17670 bat or 2 rcr123a's respectively. So if you get the prodigy you can do both. It will just require a different charger and batteries. If you got the 3.7v kit you could grab a charger with two batteries from madvapes for $16 to do 6v.

Also just food for thought the prodigy setup would be near $140 (or $160 with both types of bats) You could grab a provari for $160 add $20 for two bats $7 charger from madvapes. So for $30 more you get any voltage you want, and get that same voltage the entire time! (no drop off). I have the provari and mods similar to the prodigy and the provari is worth every penny.

Hi there, I think, if money is not a problem, PROVARI is definetely the best choice ! At our local vaper's meeting, here I had the oportunity to try a Provari fitted with a vapemate juice delivery system.... It's gorgeous ! using normal atomizers (no need of LR) provari, due to it's voltage adjustement lets you get all the taste from ejuice....
As far as I know, depens on attys building, one of them are delivering good taste at 4.8 volts, others at 5.1 volts... Provari is the ultimate vaping device, perfectly built, a lot of protection, including shortcircuit protection, battery protection, hi temp protection...

If I'd be in US I'd buy an Provari.... Buying cheap "mods" like indulgence V2, screwdriver in my opinion is useless.... 3.7 volts or 6 v are not enough, if you cannot fine tune the voltage...

I built a box using an electronic circuit that delivers 3.7 v up to 6 v and found that 4.8 and 5.1 are best....for normal attys.
Buying a Provari will let you taste the best of ....taste....

Cheers, Mario

I would skip both 3.7v which is close to what you have now, anyway and also skip 6 volts - many find it too hot.

From various polls many find the 4.5 volt to 5 volt range to be the sweet spot for vaping. I would suggest you consider a variable volt PV with a regulated boost circuit such as the Darwin from nhaler.com or evolve.com. Another good one is the Provari.

If you decide to stick with a fixed volt PV, one of the best is the 5 volt GLV2 from Great Lakes Vapor. Once you have tried the a good 5 volt or variable volt PV and discover the much better throat hit, consistency and battery life, you won't be disappointed.
