Okay seeing as I'm apparently not allowed to post in the specific forum about which this should go here it goes.

I've been using V2 almost exclusively for a few months, but their insanely high prices and the third time of my order sitting in their warehouse "awaiting shipment" for two weeks before the customer service person actually goes and checks on it without just telling me the tracker hasn't updated has driven me off. Shipping always takes 10+ days regardless of the shipping method I pay for and I'm constantly receiving stuff that's either DOA or fails after a week or less.

Now to my questions. Is it common to have KR8 batts fail as frequently as mine do? It seems like I have one fail every two weeks or less. I was using prefilled carts with auto batts. So far in a month I've had two batts, a charger, and two usb passthroughs fail.

Secondly I started refilling my carts and seem to be doing it right as almost everything I read seemed to be what I was already doing. After 4-6 refills I start getting that burnt taste. Is this the point when I'm supposed to use the boil out method, or are they really trash at this point? I get a lot of DOA carts too it seems (all were prefilled).

So hoping it would help I've made several orders from various suppliers. I switched to ecblend juice as its much cheaper and allows me to basically design my own menthol. I'm liking it so far and their super fast cheap shipping. I placed an order from vaporsmiths for 4 pack of manual batts and 3 more usb passthroughs (should I expect quick failure from these too?) I ordered a backup charger and a pcc from litecigusa as well as a 5 pack of their premium blank KR808 carts as I read some good things about them.

I'm sorry about this extremely long and almost rambling post, I'm just wondering if my health and not my wallet is going to be the only thing saved by the switch because my batts keep failing and I blow through carts like no tomorrow. I have about 50 carts in a bucket right now that I'm hoping I can boil out or something to bring new life to them. Help!

Hi Blitz, welcome to the ECF. Hope you have a reat time here!!
You will be able to post in other places once you have 5 posts. Don't worry, in the meantime you can ask all your questions here and people will reply to you.
No your battereries shouldn't fail so quickly! Yes you can try and clean your cartos by the boil method.

Smokeless image is a great place for KR808's.

I'm sure some other folks will be along to help you. Good luck :).

Hi and Welcome! Congrats one your switch ! I started with V2's and I know what you are talking about. I found also that after a while the CS started failing. I did receive many many pre-filled carts that were DOA . They told me they would give me credit when I would call CS but only up to a point. I agree they are expensive. I also bought my own liquid and filled the carts. Yes once you taste that burnt it's no good at all. Garbage. Don't use it. In order to avoid that happening as often I use the lanyard. I add the drops to a cart and spin it a few times . then add more and spin until it looks slushy on the top. They must stay moist in order to prevent that burning. You can 'top them off' after a while too. Yes I boiled mine and re used them as well. Let them dry out for a long time . I am glad you ordered from other vendors and I would first say they should ALL have some kind of guarantee so you can return them I think you may do much better now. I think you are in the right direction and one day my switch or add 510 batts that last longer and I find are better. I used both. I love the pass through because you never need to charge it. I take the others when I go out. I hope this helps you and make sure you CALL CS to get credit on those DOA carts. and replace the faulty batts. The best of luck to you. This is one fantastic place FULL of info and fantastic helpful people too. I know more will come to help you. Hang in there...GOOD LUCK to you and take good care*

Sorry to hear you are having these problems, I believe that when you have 5 posts and then wait one hour for the server to update, you will be able to post in the other forums.

The battery life seems wrong to me have you contacted the vendor about these failures? Most good vendors stand by their product and will go the extra mile to help their customers. Carts I would expect to get maybe 4-6 uses out of them before they fail, some last longer some less, the tip about not letting them dry out will help with the burnt taste.

If you still have problems on the future I would suggest you look at changing to an EGO/KGO type battery and clearomizers for ease of filling.

Whatever happens congratulations on your switch to vaping, please come back and let us know how you are doing. :)

well thank you all for your help. im thinking its just v2 is the problem. I always call them, they always ship me replacements, I always have to pay return shipping on the defective product, and the whole process drags on for 2-3 weeks with every order. im just so done with them.

I really was heavily looking in to switching styles, which is how I found the forum, but I don't have the money to change my setup right now to what id like to. I also feel there's a ton of info I still need to sort out before I leap to another setup.

I've noticed the longer I've quit the more my preferences change. originally I wanted something as close to an analog as possible because I had so much trouble quitting. the kr8 and the auto batts made it happen. the only passthroughs I knew of were manual and now im not satisfied with an auto anymore. I never feel I get the hit and the way in which it hits is no longer an issue for my brain/habit. I just want some reputable batts that will last and enough backups of everything that I don't have to worry about freaking out bc I have nothing to smoke! my taste buds have changed too as I now require sweeter liquid and I can taste every little difference.

I've already begun to see the support group here and this place is going to be yet another shoe in which to make my stand

Yes you have a great support group here. Many will give you advice and ideas as to what you could try. Your wanting to switch from something that looks like a cig is normal for many. I started on a mini and after 4 weeks I didn't want anything that looked like a cig in my hand, my taste also went from tobacco juice to fruit and desert juices.

While you are saving for another set up read all you can here, I would still suggest an EGO/KGO type for you as the battery life is so much better than 808's. This type is what I was thinking of KGO kit1100mAh by SLB I would also suggest for ease of filling EGO Vision clearomizers LR 2.1-2.4ohm

This is just one supplier there are many. I think there is one that does a similar kit that comes with clearomizers, this will give you some idea of the costs involved. These batteries will last all day for many vapers, some get 2 days from one battery before charging it depends how much you vape and the clearomizers are easy to fill.

I remember well the feeling that I may run out of something and I didn't want to go back to analogues, you are not alone in your feelings at all. :) I now have backups for my backups lol.

These batteries with aclearomizer would be about the size of a sharpy marker..

Hi I am back as I thought of something else being others have mentioned vendors...If you prefer the 808 type which is the V2 type I found 02 vapor in NJ and they are wonderful. They have batts that last longer and pass throughs and other things..you may want to come to their site here and ask more about them. The vendor himself comes often to answer questions for you. Very nice and stands by the products. Also I agree with trying a ego type as well. Most of us end up doing that. You can also purchase the clearos which are much easier to fill and don't burn. You just fill them and vape..no waiting or anything . I think it's best I post the site and then you can click on the link to his website from there as well. Whatever you decide good luck to you here is its.. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/303276-clearomizer-sale-o2-vapor-808-threading-long-wick.html

I would say hi and tell your story as well...nice people come there as you will see. Not very busy site but he also holds contests and other things..ok take good care. Have a great day.
