Hi, my name is Lissa and I am new to the forum! I have been analog free for 5 weeks today! I had purchased a PV about 8 weeks ago but was still smoking analogs along with it. It took being admitted to the hospital for 3 days to get me to give up smoking. Now it's been 5 weeks. I was diagnosed with COPD and let me tell you, that scared the bejeevas out of me! Time to get serious and quit for good. So here I am! I am loving it! Just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi!

Thanks Ocelot! I feel much better! Some days I just can't seem to catch my breath but it's getting better! Never thought smoking would catch up to me but it got it's grimy little hands on me. LOL

HI im new here too. been vaping for a year though. Ive used this forum for research since I first started vaping. Keep up vaping and soon you will feel better and not even think about smokes.

Welcome Lisa! I am a newbie also. Just two weeks off cigs and loving vaping. Has been the only thing that has gotten me to quit analog cigs after 36 yrs of 2pks a day. I am sure I probably also have COPD, Just got over that flu virus and was sick for 2 wks. No medical insurance and could not afford a doctor visit. Since I have quit analogs I can breath so so much better. Can't remember before quitting what it was like to go thru a day without coughing and coughing. Congrats on your 5 weeks. I love these forums and have learned so much. Everyone is so helpful and happy to share their experiences.

Congratz. I think most here can relate to your story. I ended up in the ER with a possible heart attack a month ago. I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs. It turned on to be a panic attack (weird). The idea of not being able to take out garbage or do daily chores, etc. was enough for me to get serious. Vaping is a lot better than pills with serious side effects, patches or gum which only made me dizzy because I'd smoke anyway. I used to play with cinnamon sticks when I'd try to quit in the old days.

Hi Lissa, Congratulations on your new journey. I saw that you like black licorice and thought that was funny because that was my favorite when I started. You should have seen the guy at the vape stores face when he was selling me a new cart and he tried the stuff. I thought I liked it so much that I got a huge bottle, but after a few more weeks I haven't touched it, just wondering if we like the really strong stuff in the beginning because we have no taste buds! Good Luck with everything.
