I've been a lurker for a few months, ever since I started vaping. Started with a KR808D, which worked well enough to get me interested, but the price range was just ridiculous! I had gotten a White Cloud set from the local mall vendor, which basically meant I flushed down $130. But it did the trick! My fiancé decided to buy a set for herself (with my money
) and we picked up a starter set of 510-Ts, then about two weeks ago picked up the eGo clone Vgo.
The Vgo works great and has become my absolute favorite unit. I probably blow threw a tank a day, and yet it keeps going. I only have to clean the attys about once every two weeks! But the 510.. I was finding the "slurping" sound happening too frequently, usually in four to five days. So I cleaned them based on advice from this forum. They worked good as new!
Until today. I had a question, if anyone has the time to help. I put on one of the 510 attys with a new juice, and it promptly caused the battery to blink. No biggie, switched to a different battery and.. it also blinked. So I stuck the thing onto a Vgo (both 510 based), and it hit.. for about a second, then blinked.
After cleaning the atty, it worked again for about three weak hits, then promptly blinked again. Tried on another battery just one more time, and it caused the LED light to activate without even pressing the button.. and the light was yellow, not the usual red. Then the atty heated up real fast, causing a slightly burnt smell, before I could unscrew it. Let it sit and tried it again. Did the same thing again.
I'm wondering if this happened after the cleaning (hot as I could get it tap water, sit for five minutes, two hour air dry, blow excess water out), or if I simply burnt my atty out. I bought the set sometime early January, so it's only been a month and a handful of weeks. Any ideas?
