Hi all my name is psyc. i have been using halo now for 4 days now switched from v2 and i am loving it. I have the starter kit with the 650 batterys and 30ml torque55. I just ordered a vv batt and a bottle of tribbeca and mocha. I would like to know what coils i should be using for the vv batt?

Greetings to another new Halon!!!

Congrats on your setup, you got good quality stuff. As far as coils with the VV any will work. If you want to go to the highest voltage (4.8) on the VV you will need to get the 3 ohm coils. I find that the stock coils work great up to ~4 volts, any higher tends to start tasting burnt. With the 3 ohm coils you will get cooler vapes at the lower voltages and have to crank it up to get warmer.

Really it is all a matter of taste. Start at 3.3 volts and work your way up until you hit the sweet spot for your juice. Once you dial it in the VV will stay there until it needs a charge as it is regulated.

Welcome psyc the starter kit comes with the 2.2-2.4 ohm coils. Like gopher said the highter resistance will give you a cooler vape and lower resistance will give you a warmer vape. Most of us prefer the standard 2.2-2.4 ohm coils even in the vv battery. I do have one juice that tastes like black pepper with the standard coil but with the 3.0-3.2 ohm coils it brings out the cherry flavor I love.

Nice to have you with us psyc63!

I also use the standard coils in my VV and I really love it.

It's amazing the flavors you will get when you can adjust the voltage.

Halo is such a quality product and fantastic Customer Service.

If you have any questions, the people here are always happy to help you in any way they can.

Anyway, welcome!

Cindy

vv battery on the way will let you know. Going to try it with a standard coil until my 3.0-3.2 arrive should be a day or 2 apart. The torque 55 is pretty nice. Looking forward to mocha and tribeca. Also ordered 2 more tanks will set each one up for different flavors. I am trying a 1.8-2.0 coil right now while i cleaned my standard coil, must say standard coil to me is better with non vv battery.
