I recharge my batteries when they go below 3.7v. I can tell when they're low by the reduced heat and vapor production. I primarily use 18350s and I go through about three a day so I know that I'll need to put in a fresh battery every so often. In addition to a multimeter I have a bunch of pocket voltmeters that I have at home, in my backpack, and that I take with me that I periodically use to check my voltage. I admit that there have been times that I lost track of time or was ensconced in work and I kept on vaping down to 3.2v without realizing it. As a mechanical mod user I think one needs to knowledgable about safety and mindful of their voltage and resistance.

I have some 2-in-1 voltmeters/ohm readers and some dedicated voltmeters kinda like these:

A multimeter is useful to measure the voltage of your batteries, the resistance of your coils and atomizers, and checking for shorts or problems with your gear. Some pocket voltmeters with allow you to check the voltage under load which will help give you an idea of voltage loss from your mod (although there are definitely other considerations).

I have an ohm reader but not a multi meter. Would the multi meter tell me how many volts my battery is using?

A multimeter would tell you the voltage left on your battery.

An alternative to the multimeter (to test battery voltage) would be a 510 voltage meter or an Omnitester.

I just check my battery in my mech with a multimeter. It read 3.83 volts. I changed the battery. It's too easy to run down the battery. Typically, I swap batteries out at 3.7 volts.

Recently, I have read many accounts where some people have no clue as to the current state of their battery and drain it. Earlier is better than later.
