Hey guys!

Second post here on ECF, and after a lot of research and reading about battery safety, Mech Safety, ohms law, ect ect. I am now wondering what a recommended build in the trident would be (Using a Mech mod) I picked up a .... load of attys and mechs, also waiting on a Vamo V5. I'm using SONY 3.7V US18650VTC4 2100mAh HIGH DRAIN 30A batteries and want a build that will last me a good chunk of the day and not have to worry about the battery ( i understand with sub ohm you mussent exceed 3.5v and when your battery reads 3.5-3.6 to pop it back on the charger to lessen the risk of having it vent) but i do not plan on doing any sub-ohm vaping till i'm 100% confident in myself. I've been reading that a decent vape on the Trident RDA for is a 1.5-1.7 (if you're using it out and about) as i mentioned i don't want to risk blowing a battery up or having to worry about that event occurring. i was also told a .6 ohm dual coil would be a nice all day carry.

Anyways in summary i'm looking for a build that i can use on a mech and use throughout the day. until i get my Vamo atleast.

Thanks,
Buddha.

I have a trident on my magneto mech and first build was a dual 0.8 ohm total with 30 guage. Worked great. Just went down too 0.57 with 28 and is hitting better and thicker clouds. 30a (same sony) battery should be here Tuesday to get slight lower, but want buffer room for amps I am drawing.

BIG note, higher amp the more battery drains. for all day I say do a dual 1.6 at 0.8. Was great and best of both worlds.

Hi Sthur!

Thanks for the reply, quite a few people have said I can get way with a lot using that battery, but a 0.6-1ohm would be the best. So thanks for that suggestion, how many wraps are on your build for each 1.6 coil?

Also the last piece of the puzzle, when am I supposed to stop using the battery//swap it for a fresh one, I've read that when hitting a certain voltage to stop using the battery in a mech mod and throw it in a regulated mod until it needs to be charged.

Thanks so much!

You'll see the vape tail off, typically at about 3.7 or 3.6v in a mech and it's not advisable to go below about 3.5v.

Get a feel for that point in battery life where it's not fresh off the charger, but still kicks well and you'll have an idea - it's a lot harder to describe than it is to recognise!
