I don't know about parallel/stacked coils, and I don't know how that effects resistance. But if you use an ohms calculator to find the amp output of that build, it should (for your safety) be well below the amp limit of the battery. But that's just a general guideline on the subject.

What batteries are you using, there are different types of 18650's?

An AW 18650 has a 10A limit and in a mech at .5 ohm you are looking at drawing about 7.5A with a fresh battery, assuming 3.7V under load. It should be fine but that is getting close to the limit, in my opinion. Please be sure that you check the resistance of your build throughly to ensure you are not getting too low with your resistance. Safety first.

While the Sony VTC batteries are better I've used my AW IMR 18650 2000 mah batteries down to .5 ohms before. It's still below the discharge limit of the battery and I've never had any problems. Just can't go much below that or you could have problems. The Sony batteries are definitely better though and give you some more wiggle room
