Hey guys
First of all a big thanks to e-cig-forum for providing us with such an awesome platform to chat and learn about the world of vaping.
I’ve been an avid fan and participant to the vape scene for about 4 years now.
Throughout the last few years I’ve tried my hand at building my own variations of mec’s and mod’s with some success but recently found myself a opportunity to start doing repairs.
So I’m looking forward to being a part of this community and perhaps learning a thing or two from what you guys have to teach and of course anything I have to contribute.

I have a couple of faulty DNA166 mods that I’m battling to find a successful fix resolution for.
They both seem to have the same problem. Black screen of death, not firing, no display but the Escribe software does pick them up and attempt to update the firmware.
Any suggestions of how I go about troubleshooting the boards.

Hi Hotrodvapes, those are lovely. I can't give you any advice, you are doing things way out of my league, but beautiful pics, thanks for sharing them, and welcome to ECF. I think you will enjoy your stay, and there are probably subforums that are better suited to your expertise, but I'm sure more experienced members will point you in the right direction. Lovely stuff, just wanted to say welcome :)

HI and welcome. I am afraid I know nothing about repairing mods. I don't think anybody does, except maybe a lonely old dude who used to work for Provari. Mechs don't need repairs beyond the occasional cleaning or replacing a broken spring or whatever, and regulated use electronics far beyond my ken. One of the reasons I don't buy super expensive regulated mods-- mechs are a different matter-- is when they go south, I junk them and get another.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Bad boards are PITA, wish I could help. Might check out if you can purchase a replacement DNA166 board only.
