New to Modding

I wish i was able to reply to other threads but being a new member i am not. I quit analogs about 3 months now. I love e cigs. vaping is much better. Well any ways i decided to make a USB pass through one day and looked through this forum and found a cheap easy way to make one. My Girl was impressed so i decide to make a 5v box mod using a LDO 5v 4pin Regulator and ordered the parts off of madvapes. Using the power off of the USB coming out of the computer. Did not work at all. So i decided to try again but this time left room for one 14500 Li ion battery. Again a no go. so for .....s and giggles i connected a 9v temporarily to the box and it worked. But the switch shut it off not on. Yes i know its a normally open switch believe me i check with my multimeter. I wired it like the tutorial on the how to within madvapes and the thing will not work.

Post a few more times in the beginner forum and then you will be allowed to post this ? in the modders forum, they will certainly be able to answer your ? It takes 5+ posts to post outside of the beginner forum, I think. Anyway, welcome to ecf.

Hey Matt. There's a lot of very brilliant, friendly and helpful people over at the modders forum. They've helped me a bunch. I haven't made a 5 volt mod yet so I'm not much use to you right now but with a few more posts here you'll have access to the brain trust over there. Good luck.
