So if I get it, the best way to build a Geneisus coil for a "big batt tube" mechanical PV is to stay with low ohms (under 2.2) if I'm running 3.7 volts. That way the coils will heat up quicker? Is this close to being on the right path to best results??

yes and no, heating is going to happen at the same rate, its the average temp once it's heated that is effected by resistance....

ideally, if your sweet spot is 8 watts, you want your coil to be about 1.5 ohms on a 3.7 volt mechanical mod...it all depends on user preference
