New to moding

Hello. Here are a few of the mods I have made. The large one is an 18650 and the other 2 are 14500. The middle one has the T-tip. I am disappointed in the buttons that I am finding and using. I wish I new where to find some super high quality ones and how to make the assembly that holds the button and is SOLDIER LESS. Half the fun is making them the other is using them. Feel free to critique them and that is fine, thats how you can get better.

Yes I custom fabricated them and Yes I am trying to look at new ways to do buttons. I really dont like the ones I am finding and will be making them with some form of mechanism to prevention accidental activation.

Not really OT but.... Nice stuff on your site! I'm not into knives/swords but I posted to some people that are to check out your site. It doesn't look like you currently make swords but you may have some inquires!

Im a newbe to vaping. will you explane to me what the h**l is a Mod & how to use it & why. Thanks

Mod stands for Modification. It originally incompassed pretty much any type of modification to a commericially available e-cig. Now days a mod means anything not mass produced in a Chinese factory (well, that's the simplest way to think of it!).

The benefits of mods vary because mods themselves vary. Cart mods are just modifications to the cart part of an e-cig (or possibly the complete replacement of it!). Battery mods are modifications to stock batts or using something non-stock. Etc.

Most mods are created to improve an e-cig (either in just one area or multiple).

Big battery mods for instance use bigger than stock batteries which gives you longer run time between charges but could also give you more stable battery voltage (i.e. performance) and some also allow higher voltages (i.e. more throat hit, heat, punch, etc...)

Clear as mud?!?! :D

Great knife work on your homepage. Which causes me a problem:
Can you do something like the lowest mod in damascus steel?
Do I even want to know what that might cost? Yes, I do. Ballpark?

Brass, copper, aluminum, stainless, whatever, the mod look doesn't do much for me...but in damascus? *drool*
Maybe some ebony accents?

How about working in a folding blade while we're dreaming?

I have considered making one out of Damascus. A big undertaking and I wont until I feel good about the buttons and a way to prevent them from firing when in the pocket. etc. I have been using the fluted middle one all day and the button on it is working great. Still not classy looking though. I am working on a table mod that I will be showing in a few days. I will be using a CR/123 battery. Do you folks like this battery?

Dan,
I like single battery 18500 or 18650 (18650 is 67.5mm long and 18.3mm in diameter.
Big Batteries, come on, it's a "survival knife" lol.

Buttons,
hmmmm
How about a o-ring resistance mounted switch, slightly countersunk, like this one? O-ring for blowout safety, countersunk below surface. I Found cheap ones like this on ebay but I'm sure some better ones are available.
I did a search for momentary switch.

To prevent it from activating in your pocket, you could add a second on/off switch slider. I've wondered why nobody does this for travel protection. If I was getting ready to vape, I would turn it on, then use the momentary switch for vaping. Once I am done for a while, I would turn it back off and put it back in my pocket. Is everybody and suppliers afraid of two switches for some reason that I haven't come across yet?
