New to mods batter advice?

Ok so in the past ive only used ego batterys like my curreny favorite th innokin vv v3 and ive decided to try modding so i can do some microohming i ordered a private v2 stainless with copper connections it telescopes for a 18650 or 18500 battery and i was wondering what safer chemestry batteries chargers and bettery boxes would be the most powerful and semi safe xp thanks in advance

I've never had an issue with the Nitcore i2 chargers. The i4 is also good. I see xtar a lot for chargers as well.

For batteries, the Sony VTC5 seems to be king for sub-ohming. AW IMR batteries are also some well known, safe, batteries.

I use Sony VTC4, VTC5 and Efest. Have a few AW IMR's as well. I use a Nitecore I4 for the charger. Don't forget a multimeter!!

First and foremost though.... knowledge/understanding of ohms law and the limitations of your batteries/gear.

Susan has already given you all the information that you need in post 5. Please note that when you are using sub-ohm coils that the battery amp rating is more important than the mah rating. Bigger is better.

Any B&M should sell battery boxes for under $2.00. There's the Nitecore i4 and the d4, the i4 uses led's to show battery charge levels and the d4 has digital screen that shows individual battery progress. They both have overcharge protection as well so you do not have to worry about overcharging the batteries.

.09 greatly exceeds 30 amps @ 4.2.

Google for an ohms law calculator. It is essential.

With a 3.7v battery .09 will require roughly 40amps, .15 is about the lower limit but i wont be likely building below .4

Batteries are not the item to be skimping on costs. If a price is too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. It will pay off in the long run to insure you are getting quality batteries from a reputable dealer selling authentic brand name batteries than not being sure what you are getting from Amazon or Ebay resellers.

I recommend purchasing from the likes of RTD Vapor, Orbtronics, or Illumination Supply. All trusted & reputable vendors that sell authentic name brand batteries and chargers.

Pila, Xtar, Nitecore, and Efest make the better chargers.
