510 means the style of threads that a tank uses. On an eGo or MVP battery, the 510 style of tanks use the inside threads of the connector while eGo style of tanks use the outside threads.
Some people who ordered the iStick did not get the 510 to eGo connector bundled in with it, so are stuck using 510 style tanks (though adapters can be purchased for less than $5).
Some 510 tanks do have trouble making contact if the positive pin doesn't stick out far enough past the negative sleeve. While an adjustable pin may solve this in some cases, it may not help in other instances. An adjustable pin has a spring where the pin will float so a tank can be screwed down all the way without damaging the battery.

it did, thank you. i didnt buy mine online for $36 i went through a local owned ecig shop, paid the $49 got all the parts and adaptor needed. the ones bought online are just the box, no charger no adjustments. doesnt pay to be cheap.
