I don't have a Serpent. Is that the one that has the O-ring press fit in the top and can't be replaced?

Yes, can't replace the tank if it breaks.

one of the keys to wicking these tanks,the coil diameter has a big influence on how thick your wicks will be. too large will force you to use to much cotton and result in dry hits, and too small will get you girgles and flooding.

Been using 3mm for coil diameter. Maybe need to decrease the size. My gut feeling is that I use too much cotton.
