Okay, so I've been vaping a couple months now, still smoking analogs, but literally about 5 a day (which to me is a huge improvement considering I was at least a PAD smoker before my introduction to vaping) and I have just recently (2 days ago) gotten my first RDA! I moved up to this Nemesis clone, that I got from VapeRoyalty, (which has outstanding customer service, might I add) and I'm loving it ! Had my coil built by my favorite B&M, but that's irrelevant. Anyways, long story short - I'm glad I'm only aloud to post in the Newbie forum, cause I'd probably get flamed hardcore for my question which is: where do I drip my juice? I know, dumb question. But sometimes i get nice, full, clouds when I'm pullin on my mod, but sometimes I'm just getting very airy puffs that make me cough. Do I saturate the cotton? do I drip onto the coil? I'm not trying to burn my coils up (only been on the Atty 2 days), I just have almost no idea what I'm doing ! Sorry for the wall of text, not usually like this but I've exhausted the search function (as well as Google) and have been unsuccessful in having my question answered. Thanks in advance for any input, and try to be nice, I'm new to this!

the simple answer, on the coils.
i drip, let it soak. then drip again, and repeat.
then i will go on the rest of the cotton.

No question is a dumb question! I'm the kind of person that I would rather ask a simple question once, then do something uninformed repeatedly, so don't worry about the question! 
Where you drip your juice entirely depends on your coil/wick build. The big thing with an RDA is keeping your wick saturated, that goes for single and dual coils alike. If at some point your wick starts getting a bit dry, that's probably when you're getting a drier, burnt flavor, or at least diminished performance. The more you use an RDA, you will get familiar to the "breaking point" where you know you'll need to juice up again to avoid a dry hit. In some builds I have made sure that my wick went up and over the center post, so when the juice is dripped in through the hole in the top (usually removed the drip tip to do this, but with bigger, more open drip tips, you can often drip right through it without removing it), it drops right onto my wick, which in turn juiced up the whole works nicely. You don't have to do anything like this at all. Many people just build it with wicks resting in the bottom juice well and will just occasionally remove the top cap and juice up the wicks that way. Either way works fine. That's the lovely part about RDA's, you can build them countless different ways to suit your personal needs and tastes!

I have a wide bore cap on mine, and I usually put about 5 or 6 drops through the top, couldn't tell you exactly where they land. I try to get them all around though. When I rewick, I will drip on the coils, and flood it out. I fire it a few times while blowing on it with the cap off. After that, a few drops on each side of the coil should be sufficient. You might be overdripping and flooding it. Try a couple drops on each side of the coil, sounds to me like you are over saturating. You probably got the nice clouds after the excess juice boiled off.
From what I'm getting, it definitely sounds like I'm flooding it out, because the initial hits are the unenjoyable ones, and the later ones are where I'm getting the nice clouds that drew me to a mod in the first place ! I've been stalking these forums for quite a while now, and just recently decided to join, and finally had a reason to post. I'm honestly impressed with how fast I got a reply, you guys are awesome ! Not sure how to post a photo of my build, or should I say the vape shops build, but im trying to figure it out (posting from an iPhone 6+ btw). Anyways, thanks for all the help, definitely cleared up some confusion for me

And for the record, I am awfully jealous of the iPhone 6+. I've got the 5s, and looking at it in distaste now that I know that there's something newer out there. Have to wait until February for the renewal, though. Damn you Apple, so good at convincing me that a perfectly good product is lacking, just because they have a newer version out! BTW, there is a company that put a product out called VapeCase that has a vaping battery built right into a phone case, seems to be lacking in features, but having an iPhone, I figured you would enjoy at least checking it out. They have a iPhone 5/5s version, but nothing for the 6's yet, though I'm sure that's yet to come!

Yes; I used to do that too; only got my drippers a couple weeks ago.
Now I add a drop or 2 more frequently instead of attempting to squirt a lot in every now and then;
To add a few drops you take off the driptip/mouthpiece; when you're new to a dripper, you might want to take the whole topcap off so you can see the wick- if it's too dry it's going to look white maybe; but once you get used to it, you just use the driptip.
