Im new to RDAs, and I am doing very well I must say. I was wondering if anyone uses calculator apps to help them build specific coils?
I attempted to but the calculator suggested I wrap my 2 inch coil over 6000 times to achieve 0.3 ohm. So I don't use the calculator. I would like to know how to use them though.
Here's my setup.
I have 28 awg and 24 awg Kanthal A1 I believe. It's the most popular I believe.
I find the 24 works better. But was entering the 28 in the calculator.
I use a kuro koiler-25 on the 1 setting for tight coils.
Japanese organic cotton.
Itaste mvp 3.0 pro box mod.
Exthermal RDA from innokin tech.
So far I get good results wrapping around 6 times with the 24awg wire.
I cut a piece of cotton about the same diameter as the coil and twist it, then pull through the coil, and tuck the ends under the coil.
I have been doing dual coils. My mods reads it as 0.25 ohm.

So does anyone else think the calculator apps are more trouble than they are worth?
If anyone dies use them and likes them, please tell me what values you input for coil diameter and such. There are a few values I don't know how to measure.
