As said, they are two very different RTAs. I have had both and one was fairly easy and the second was, well, worse. There is a lot to be understood before switching from a Volkswagon to a Mack truck. I recommend mastering the driving lane before switching to the passing lane.

I have found a lot of people on forums that offer advice and promote something, shouldn't be doing it. I am just saying a lot of people. Old time vapers that never adventured and new vapers that have no understanding behind what they are doing.

My advice and my promoting is for safety. There is just to many people just rushing and doing unsafe things.

What this industry needs, so we can continue using e-cigs/vaporizers, are examples. I have always thought it better to read than to listen to people's opinions.

Welcome and good luck!

To get a 1.5 Ohm build using 28 gauge, you'll need roughly 15 wraps per coil on a 3 mm drill bit.

That's a lot of wire, and would require a bit of a ramp up.

Actually, if you input the numbers into the "Steam Engine" calculator ... To get a 1.5 ohm coil using 28 gauge Kanthal will take 7 wraps, if wrapped around a 3.0mm rod.

EDIT ... Ok ... I guess your talking about a dual coil with a total of 1.5 ohms

I am thinking single Kanthal coil

Personally, I think the OP should be sticking to single coils ... just my opinion

cmayo I'm sorry someone recommended you get that ridiculous Aromamizer. The dual post design adds considerable height to the deck, making for a larger chamber. Only having 28g wire is going to make your experience even worse with it.

If you want a dual coil atty to start out on get an Orchid! It's just like the Kayfun but air holes for 2 coils instead of just one and a slightly larger chamber.

I think of my Kayfuns as cigarette replacements, and a dual coil setup in my Orchid as my at home cigar. You will still need to cut your nic level using any dual coil setup I think though to keep your head from swimming.

From fasttech I assembled a great setup that vapes like a dream.....Orchid base, Kayfun 4 chamber, a standard bell cap, and a Derringer drip tip. Together cost me a little over 10 bucks and rocks my socks off.

Or, you can sell that Aromamizer and apply that money to a ton of accessories to improve your Kayfun experience if you're perfectly happy with a single coil. Kayfill tool, bell caps and top fill caps of all colors, slam caps, base/chamber/chimney replacements...the world's your oyster with a KF.

$1.98 Replacement Chimney for Kayfun - stainless steel / ohm logo at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$4.51 Replacement Base for Kayfun Monster V2 RTA Atomizer - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$5.21 Acrylic Kayfun Bell Cap (4 Pieces) 4-pack - random colors at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$1.50 Replacement PC Bell Cap Set for Kayfun Lite Five Pawns - w/ 510 drip tip at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Thanks! Nice looking setup - do all those parts you listed fit my Lite+ V2?

And really, no sweat on the Aromamizer. I came here hoping folks would recommend known-good products for me so I didn't waste a bunch of time and effort buying junk, and I know that the person who recommended the Aromamizer did so because it's a killer product that they truly believe in - it's just not the right atty for me at the moment. Other members said as much at the time and I bought one anyway, so the poor choice is on me, not on the member who recommended it. I love people who are passionate about their interests, and I get caught up in their enthusiasm sometimes.

Cheers!

Yep sure do! The filling tool I think may only work on your KFL V2 and not with all the bell cap configurations though.

You can use your base and chamber with the bell caps like I showed, but you'll need the shorter nipple chimney...
$1.74 Kayfun Nano RTA Replacement Stainless Steel Short Chimney - 12mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I'm excited to try these slam caps though. Make accessing the coil and refilling ridiculously easy. From the looks of it too, it doesn't even use a chimney, the chamber goes straight to the drip tip. Very nice.

Well said, and I'm definitely sticking to the slow lane for the foreseeable future.

I have found a lot of people on forums that offer advice and promote something, shouldn't be doing it.

I'm sure that's true, but I have a lot of appreciation for anyone who cares enough about helping other people to read a stranger's post and to take the time to share their experience. I've been hanging around forums for a lot of years and, as with any other community, forum opinions vary widely and the quality of advice runs the gamut. In the end, it's up to me to make the call and live with my choices. It's all good!

I'm the OP, and I concur!

I am not the one who initially suggested buying it, but it did say it was the best atomizer I had, so I feel partly responsible. Was really excited after finally getting an atomizer that worked well for me and forgot/didn't realize other people have different vaping styles.
