New to site, but not new to vaping.

Greetings everyone.
I have stumbled upon this site and have read some tidbits of what vaping is all about. I started vaping just over a year ago and haven't had a smoldering cigarette since Aug 6, '13. Sure as hell don't miss that early morning HACK, not to mention the $$ associated with cigarettes.

I had heart surgery on '05. Doc was none to happy when I disclosed that I'd had a few smogs here and there.
Through time, I learned about vaping and wanted to get the forbidden cigs out of my life. I've done that.

Anywho... HELLO!!

Hello, and welcome Bowslayer. Nice to greet another Floridian on ECF. Your located alot farther South than I am, lucky you, much closer to all the Vape related goings on. Sorry to hear about the Heart issue but not surprising if you smoked for any length of time at all. Very few of us now ex smokers escape some kind of smoking related health problems (heart or lung). I'm sure your Dr. is about as clueless as most I've run into about Vapeing! They know what ecigs are but anything beyond the "Blue" type ciga-like they look at you like your from another planet when you show then what you are using. My son in law is a Bow Hunter, from your chosen handle I gather you are too? I't almost hunting season in FL. isn't it? Lots of luck in both your Vape journey and your other Sport this year.

Hi Joe..
My cardiologist is OK with it. He said that nicotine alone is just a stimulant. "same as caffiene in coffee" <-- HIS words.
He is pleased that i've not returned to regular cigs (analogs?)LOL
But he said that it is the TAR that chokes the heart, not nicotine.
