Greetings fellow Vapers!

My name is Marc working in Kuwait and have been smoke free for 13 months now. From the day i got my first ego-c, I had 2 cigarettes the first day, and one the next day [I threw that pack out a year later with a big smile]. After a week of just vaping [frustrated with some of my teething issues like leekage/flooding], while at work ran into an emergency at work and had to work extra hours w/o any backup for my e-cig. Landed up smoking half a pack while working for over 24hrs.

Mistake learnt and always carried a spare battery, spare atomizer head, juice and a charger wherever i went.

About 2 months later when i was called in for work in the middle of the night with just a couple of hours of sleep, I had to move from one site to another and left my spares at one of the initial sites I started at which i could not access again till the next day and the time to drive home and back was not possible due to work. However during this incident, I did go and buy myself a pack of cigarettes but was not able to smoke a full cigarette and was feeling sick [almost threw up]. That was my last cigarette till date and am a happier vaping person!

The last year has been a challenging journey mainly due to the fact that e-cigarettes are not legal here and pay over 300% of the original prices for the replicas and clones but sadly even those are just for clearomizers and ego batteries. No RDA/RBA/MODS/Kanthal/Wicks available nor can you get proper liquids that can tell you how much pg/vg or nicotine levels [most of the are diluted]!

Anyway Just wanted to say hi and not bore you'll with my path, so will stop here and will appreciate any help i can get for learning how to manage what i have, and will soon have.

Have been using the ego batteries with the original tank system and then moved up to evods and clearos and today i actually have an itaste svd and i believe it is a k100 cant say much about its authenticity or brand but had purchased 2 of them with a sigeli inox look a like from dubai and then few days later one of the K100 and the sigeli clone almost burnt my hand and the battery insulation's had melted from the bottom on both. Having freaked out i threw them in the bin and recycled the batteries. Later realized it might have been just the batteries or the springs after having found this site [stupid me].

My friend who just recently went to Malaysia found a vape store and did a little shopping for me and is bringing me my first set of kanthal/wick/ss mesh/80ml of juices and 2 rba's. So excited!! But will need all the help i can get from this forum, as i don't want to mess up again.

Thank you in advance :)

Congratulations on keeping on vaping, in spite of all those obstacles.:)

Those of us here in the U.S. who can just order online and have something in a few days, or pop out to the local vape shop and pick something up, can take a lesson in perseverance from you! You have my admiration, for sure.

I know there are lots of knowledgeable folks on the forum who can help you with building, coils, etc. Keep up the good work!

I totally agree with Buggainok. The fact that you have stuck out the hard times with all the difficulties you face makes me realize that I should be thankful that I have access to anything I might need here. You should be an inspiration to all new people who are struggling with the switch. Things could be much worse, as you well know. Glad you have found a way to get more equipment and juice. Maybe you can look into making your own juice if that won't get you into any trouble. Anyway, good luck and I hope things just get easier for you from now on.

Thank you for making me feel welcomed : Buggainok, ric23 & swhite!

I am glad that I found this site and kicked myself for not finding you'll and joining any earlier!

Feels good to know there are more vapers out there. I know its more of a norm in the states and most parts of the world, but over the past year, I have got about 20 people to give vaping a shot out of which all were happy vapers but died out for them due to the circumstances of the logistics here. It's so much more a hassle and effort to quit smoking completely as you can find people smoking anywhere and everywhere. There has been rules put up for no indoor smoking in public areas, but you can find ...... smoking in the ICU of a hospital to the gas pumps in their cars as well as malls, restaurants, elevators ....... Im just glad I got introduced to vaping and made it possible to quit smoking which i had been for the past 17 years up to jan of 2013. Most of the guys introduced just gave up because of the lack of supplies for broken down parts batteries like the ego and the liquid consistency and availability. Honestly I have only survived this because of a couple of friends who help with picking up supplies for each other every now and then when we travel. Besides that the move from smoking to vaping was a breeze IMHO!

And yes i have considered making my own juice, and am looking into it. however since i'm not even a good cook, i worry that i will miss out on the great flavors and will have to put up with my not so great ones! But I have and am trying to get some more research done first before i experiment! Thank you and already love this dialog!
