33 Years of smoking tobacco cigarettes: OVER!

Congratulations! I feel the same way because after 25+ years of not being able to break the habit, I finally did it 5 months ago!

Five months may not seem like very long, but I'm a guy whose tried so many different ways and was never able to make it more than a few days.

I'm a primitive compared to you, I think, LOL. I'm using standard, off the shelf N-Joys and Blu's. I have yet to find a vape shop or specialty place for these and to deal with other vapers directly.

Again Congrats! I'm glad to find that so many others have had a similar success. :)

That's AWESOME keep going man!

When I started vaping, I didn't do it to actually quit, but just to try to cut back on smoking - but after three days I was like "I don't really WANT a real one..."

If you don't have the desire for anything but vaping, I wouldn't advise "just one...to see..." LOL!

I haven't and I NEVER WILL!

I think 5 months is definitely a long time. I was never able to do that and I tried everything.

You know, if you don't want to go back on nicotine they do make zero nicotine juice. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't. Just letting you know it's available from vendors if that's what you want.

Edit:

I'm sorry, I misread your post. I thought you quit smoking, then stared vaping. Didn't realize that's how you quit.

My mistake! Nevermind!

Somewhere out there
You should, you will love the GLV! They are having a free giveaway, go to the forum and watch Jay's video to be a part of it. I just ordered another GLV 2 SM for a backup :) bnrk

Congrats, 45+ years here and been off the analogs for 26 days. Thinking of celebrating my 30 day anniversary by upgrading to a GLV2

Vape On!

The longest I've ever made it was 4 months, so if I make it 5 months...yeah thats huge for me! WAY TO GO!!!

I am having a extremely, very terrible cough (like the whole lungs wanna come out and breathe) and quitter's flu. Going thru cold turkey treatment with running nose and other knots. I had been smoking for 18years average 25 sticks per day. Tough to quit, but sure I'm determine this time.

All intake of food seems tasteless and no matter very salty also no feeling. Guys am I normal?

I'm sure this is normal. You're asking your body to adapt to new conditions, so it seems reasonable to expect a little push-back.

I am in my 9th week since my last analog, and I have only recently begun to recover a near-normal sense of taste and smell. It's an interesting experience. For example, I am a heavy coffee drinker, but suddenly I have rediscovered tea (which has a lovely flavor that I never really appreciated before now). And I am finding that when I pull an article of clothing out of my closet that I haven't worn for some time, I now notice that it smells like the old me, and I say to myself, "Whoa, I need to wash that!"

It's also interesting when I encounter a smoker out in public, for example in line at the grocery store. I think to myself with satisfaction, "Wow, and to think that I used to smell like that!"

Anywho... the benefits of quitting accrue over time, not all at once, and any unpleasantness passes relatively quickly.
