Hi,

Thought I'd better introduce myself as I'm new to the forum. I live and work in London and, after twenty years of smoking analogues, I switched to e-cigarettes 6 months ago. I had my last proper cigarette on the 3rd of July and can't express how much better I feel!

Once I've got my post count up I plan to start a thread in the UK forum about my experiences so far with "bricks and mortar" retailers - good, bad and awful!

Gratz on your success in quitting the "stinkies", and seeing July 4th is your anniversary you can celebrate your liberation on the same day as we colonists do ...... you guys on the other side of the pond aren't still upset about that little dust up in 1776 are you????? .... LOL

but seriously .... congratulations and welcome to the board.

Thanks all,

As I said I tried many times before, even used one of the very early e-cigs (automatic and cotton wool filled cartridges) but nothing else worked. Now I've worked my way down to about 6mg (depending on what juice I can get) from 18mg. I've tried all sorts of combinations of clearomisers along the way so I've not only quit smoking but also gained a hobby. I haven't saved a lot of money though, shiny bits of electronic equipment always catch my eye!!

Congrats and welcome. I have the same problem, lots of options and new shiny toys. Just over a month for me with no issues quitting. I am trying the DIY mixing which brings in a new obsession (hobby aspect) to the vaping addiction. Who would have thought you can go from one addiction to another so easily. Feel so much better and don't have the smell associated with the death sticks.

Anyway, you will not be disappointed from this forum. So many supportive and knowledgeable people here, and props to them all for sharing their knowledge.

Like you, I started at 18mg and am down to 12mg. My next step is 6mg, but still have about 100mg of juice to finish off before i take the next step down! When i do step down, I will be doing DIY juice and I cant wait!

Yes, I have spent some $'s since starting with a basic setup, but all in all I would still am far ahead of the game vs buying analogs! Beside's that who could ever put a $ amount on your health!
