So about 2 weeks ago i got myself a CE4 Vapouriz (ego) tank. I haven't put it down since i got it and haven't smoked a real cig either which is a huge success!!

The one thing that bothers me is the lack of pull or drag you get from it. I have to take a really long vape to be fully satisfied.

I found a local e cig store and they are selling the innokin iTaste MVP 2. What i wan't to know ,is there going to be much diference to the one i have now and the MVP V2 ?

What i'm looking for is something that has a nice satisfying drag and to look like Gandalf while doing so :D

What do you think ?

What you need is a higher wattage or voltage. So yes, you'll get that off the new device.

If you want to look like Gandalf, I'd recommend an e-pipe. But you'll need something with a lower resistance coil for that. Many of those are not variable voltage/wattage.

I have a variable voltage battery which helps but I'm also looking at upgrading to a bigger unit too :)

A bigger unit that uses something like 18650 batteries will definitely give you more options. But it also depends on the unit and what your goals are. A mech mod is great if you're looking to do sub-ohm vaping using a lower resistance coil. Good if you want to get into it as a hobby and rebuild coils. Just remember to use quality batteries.

Otherwise most people would be perfectly happy with an APV that has some electronic control on it for adjusting wattage and voltage. At which point you don't want to (and in most cases cannot) use sub ohm style coils on those units. But the increased wattage/voltage and something like a 1.8ohm coil can be very satisfying. Personally I tend to turn to this setup more myself than my sub ohm setup, just because I find it easier overall as a daily vape.

With only two weeks into it, I would definitely not recommend working with mech mods. Or even regulated mods. What I mean is external batteries. I feel like there is so much you haven't experienced yet and to move up that quickly could result in some bad experiences. I would suggest getting the mvp 2.0 I have one, which I love.

Or, even the iTaste CLK 1280 works pretty good and it's not as expensive as the mvp 2. If you pair the Aspire Mini with the CLK 1280, it does really well. You can toggle the voltage up to 5 volts and you can change the airflow with the tank. I think you should start there, then if it's still not satisfying you could trade it for something you think may be better here on the forum. This way, you don't dive in to far. I mean, one of the reasons I quit smoking was because it costs so much money. I take my time between buying new devices and currently only have two.

Going straight in to mech mods can result in expensive bills. Just take your time. You have the rest of your life to enjoy a cigarette free day. Enjoy it, you know?

Thanks For the reply. My plan is to get the MPV V2 and use it for a good while, then after a bit when i get into the swing of things i can start to mod it to my liking if needed be

I just want too make sure that i'm going to benefit from the standard MPV V2 greatly enough so i don't feel like i wasted €50 if its only a tad better than the one i have.

In fact here is one called the V3 Gandalf lol

Haha. I'll have soo much class if i roll into the club with that :2cool:

Welcome At0mic :)

I have 3 MVPs and like the variability of watts/volts settings. I would certainly recommend a tank with some sort of airflow control. Not sure what's available on your side of the Pond, but I just recently got a couple full-sized and one mini Nautilus. Kanger Protank 2 (I think) and Aerotanks have airflow control, but I've not tried either of those. I suppose I should consider the PT2, as I rebuild coils for other tanks (which are compatible with the PT2) Can't (or don't know how to yet?) rebuild for the Nautilus....

Cheers

At0mic, welcome to the group!

From your description it sounds like your problem is related to airflow. Any of the suggestions above should help move you to the 'next level' but I would suggest looking at the Nautilus Aspire tanks. They provide great airflow and plenty of flavor. My third device was an MVP and is the only of my starting devices that still gets use today. You should be able to get one for around $40US without too much problem.

Vape on!

I too started of with a ce4 and basic ego battery-
Then I went to a variable voltage battery and an aspire nautilus tank - The difference was remarkable.
From what I read there are many good tanks around and yes mods etc but Im going one step at a time - Currently still trying liquids and seeing which companies i like.

Just back from my local vape store with the MVP V2 and all i can say is that i'm one happy customer :D

i'm only 25 puff in and i just love it!

Thanks everyone with you help. Maybe after a month or two i might go ahead and get the Aspire Nautilus. But i'm in no hurry ^^

Great! Night and day compared to Vapouriz I'd imagine. :)

Actually, if your MVP came with an iClear30, you are also in for a treat when you get your mini Nautilus. (BVC coils are another step up...and a big one too)

Vapouriz are the lowest of the low... unlike their rip-off prices. They are the worst kind of e-cig company.

The mvp2 is highly recommended for new vapers for power; most likely it will come in a kit with an iclear 16 or some other tank.

The the long vape you talk about comes from the airflow which is the tank part, the thing that goes on top.

For a tank, I recommend the miniprotank2's or the miniaerotanks. the aerotanks have adjustable airflow.
The miniprotank has better airflow due to the wider bases of the eGo thread compared to most tanks which are 510 threaded.

Take a look at your tank and see if you can see how the air is supposed to flow; if it's a CE4, it's probably eGo threaded, but it probably has the air intake going into the eGo threading itself, so the air has to fight it's way throught the metal to metal threading where the tank screws down on the battery.
