A few years ago one of my friends did a advertisement on the news for e-cigs, at the time I wasn't too interested in the idea because I figured it would be more expensive than actual cigarettes. (derp.)

Then, just a few days ago one of my friends started talking about how much he was enjoying his new e-cig, so I figured I would check it out. My husband and I needed a healthier alternative to smoking. I bought the first thing that came up on google as a birthday present to myself, which was a No. 7 Micro. It will be arriving tomorrow, but I feel kinda silly for not doing my research first. I spent 75 on a kit when I could've gotten a joye510 and spent 44, then spent the rest on e-liquid. lol! Last night my husband and I also ordered 11 different e-liquids from vaporbomb.com, so we'll try those out as well.

I haven't heard anyone talk about the No. 7 micros on here, are they terrible?

pretty much.

BUT: the good news is that you're here now and you get to try it out and start experimenting. I've seen people on the forums go over and over researching for months, trying to decide what to get. I'm always saying "just buy something already!"

So you made the first step! Awesome Job! Welcome to the forum!

Now, if it's less than ideal, just remember: There are better ones out there, so don't get discouraged... take it one day at a time.

Don't feel bad. I spend $60 on a crappy one before discovering the forums. From what I've seen, that happens to a lot of people. Even if you end up getting another one instead, it won't take long before you've recouped your investment.

I will probably end up getting another, I'm not even sure what model it is and the replacement parts are way too expensive. 25 bucks for a replacement battery. LOL

pretty much.

There are so many to choose from though. I was thinking about purchasing the joye510 as soon as I had the money, but I'm worried about the whole leaking problem. And now the 901 sounds awesome too because of the longer battery life.

I spent $150 on my first before I found the forums. Luckily, I was able to return it for a full refund.

I'd suggest taking a look at the eGo/Riva/Helo 016 before deciding on a 510. The batteries last 8+ hours. Or if you want great battery life, skip the mass manufactured "kit" vaporizers and get a Chuck. I get 2 days of heavy vaping from one battery.

I would suggest refusing the order when it arrives and have the company reimburse your credit card so you can order a better model elsewhere!

I started out with the same exact model and had problems with it from the start. It has helped me cut down on the number of analogs I smoke, so I will give it that. However, I still smoke the analogs partly due to the frustrations of trying to get the No. 7s to work properly for me. I gave up and was finally able to order myself an eGo this morning. I know I'll be so much happier with the eGo.

Welcome to ECF! A lot of us ordered or thought about ordering before we found this site. If you can, just refuse the shipment, and get yourself either a Joye 510 kit or an eGO kit. THe eGO is basically a 510 with a larger battery and cartridge. And, congratulations on deciding to quit smoking and to begin vaping instead. It really works, and should get you off cigarettes.

Personally, I would have a problem with refusing a shipment on something I ordered just because I had buyer's remorse while it was on it's way to me.

What I would recommend is that you use the thing for a couple weeks or a month, because even for $75 and a crappy setup you'll end up saving money over analogs pretty fast. Use that time to do lot's of research and order the 'right' one for you. Don't order one specific model because somebody recommends it. Read lot's of reviews, check out other forums, look at pictures and prices and long term costs.

Think of it as spending $75 to buy yourself some time to make the right decision.

I would too unless the company sold me an inferior product for an inflated price. Though what I would most likely do is use the RMA procedure and return it unused for a full refund rather than just refusing the shipment.

I don't know anything about that brand of E-cig, but it sounds like another version of ________ (fill in the blank). I was this close [] to pulling the trigger on a Green Smoke for $129 when I backed out. A week later I found this forum and that is when I realized that there are really only a half dozen or so decent E-cigs to be had (not counting the mods and custom PVs).

Micro No. 7 sounds like it might be a super mini. One that looks like a real cig and only has a 2-3 hour battery life. Do you have to buy proprietary cartridges from the company? Do they have limited flavors and nic strengths? These are all bad signs.

I say try it. You can always upgrade if you don't like it.

Another note. When you do upgrade, don't be concerned with saving a few bucks for the cheapest upgrade. Depending on how heavy a smoker you are, you will eventually come out ahead money wise. Go for quality and value. IMHO Ego and Riva give you the biggest bang for the buck.
For $69 you can get TWO complete eGos at Cignot.com. You can find them at other dealers a little cheaper than Cignot, but many times they only come with one cone.

FireHorse - Now you can throw out the analogs! The eGo will hit the spot for you. In a week or two pick up some LR atty's and a drip tip and you will have a big smile cause that will really do it for you!!!

And that, I would have no problem with. I'm not saying that refusing the shipment would be dishonest or anything like that. It just wouldn't feel 'right' to me.

I'm thinking my husband and I are just going to use the no. 7 until it dies. Until then we will be doing research on what we want. I'm just way too excited to try it out tomorrow. :D!

That's what I did with my Blu. Most everyone around here knows that Blu is inferior. I don't regret buying it, or buying extra attys and carts for it, or using it for over a month. It was a good place to start, and even though it wasn't good enough to keep, it was good enough to help me figure out what I wanted.

seconded! Got a little extra cash? Vapor Toker's Fatty 100%. I was skeptical at first. Now I'm sold. Read these forums. 95% of these good people know what they're talking about! Like body by Jake say's, "don't quit." You'll find your fav device. If you do enough research, you won't waste money either! Wet box mod is up next when I grow out of my Fatty (eGo but better). I'll do a review when I'm more established. Vape on!

And what VeeDubb65 said! Is it a bug or a van VeeDubb? Had a '72 van, but it was too rotted to restore.

I don't know much about the No. 7 Micro, but I ordered a Blu, and while it was a bit disappointing at first, a couple of mods and some better juice has made me pretty happy. I didn't want to feel like I totally wasted my money, so some cheap blue foam, cheap (compared to the carts) juice, and a couple better atomizers was a good alternative to switching to a completely different ecig.
