Yes I do actually. I live in Rockwall.

I will look into the kayfun stuff.

One thing that is really chapping my ... with what i got at this point is...

1)I am burning coils like crazy
2)Got to keep the tank as full as possible at all times or the coil gets dry quickly (which from what i read, is common with BDC)
3) Even at 1000mah, this battery seems to get nuked pretty quick. Charge it up, works okay, but you can tell the voltage starts to drop rapidly (yes, I know batteries retain a memory voltage after being charged, and that might be the issue).

I do like the responses though, and yall have given me many good ideas on the way to go. I do really like the kayfun suggestion.

The tank you're using sounds like it can't keep up with your style lol. Kayfun will blow you away in comparison.
On the battery side, to avoid the voltage drop you'd be better with a higher level device. I'm using a hana dna 30 clone. They're about 50 dollars on the fasttech site I linked you to previously.

Dual coils use up more power than single coils generally.
For new vapers I recommend single coils for simplicity.

Too bad that the shop you visited wasn't really up to speed. There are a number of shops in my town and they each offer a different experience. A good vape shop is not just there to sell you gizmos. They should be there to educate you as well. Another sign of a good shop is one that has a relaxed atmosphere and can double as a lounge. I visit my favorite shop even when I have no intention of buying anything. The staff is friendly and social. It is a great way to share knowledge make new friends and chuck some vapor. The temptation to buy online is always there but you will miss out on the personal touch that many shops deliver. Of course there are always folks who open a vape shop looking for quick profits hopefully there is one in your area that fosters the community of vapers.

That's what I thought. I'm in Rockwall too! Im guessing you went to lonestar. None of the stores here are great. They are ok, glad to have them. I tend to go to bad ace. I know I pay too much, but it's really convenient for me.

I heard really bad things about bad ace so I stayed very far away. I did not go to lonestar.

I too was a hvy smoker (2 PAD) I also found the starter gear to be inadequate. Just couldn't get satisfaction. I started with a mvp and pro tank 3. It lasted about a week for me before I bought a mechanical and a kayfun. I spent a bunch of time on here learning how to rebuild and it wasn't all that difficult. It sounds like u already have the skill set to succeed. If u own a multimeter and understand how to use it you are further along than many people when they start rebuilding. U might ares well jump in to rebuilding now because you will end up there anyway IMO. No sense wasting more money on gear that may not satisfy you.

I dont really want a dripper though. I want to fill a tank up and vape. That is one of the things that turned me off on the totally wicked stuff. I dont mind rebuilding the coils and such, but I also don't want to have to reload it all the time.

I've been doing lots of research and have the same criteria for my vaping criteria. I need something that I can fill up and vape all day, but I'd also like some more flavor and clouds. I eventually found bottom feed mods like a Reo. It's an rba with an internal "drip feeder" and shorter than the big tube mods. I have two on order

Ill chime in. Woman's opinion. Lol
Beginning setup MVP2 with protank 2 because u can start with stock coils and go from there. You can eventually rebuild em. I got a nautilus doesn't see use as often as the PT2.
Because ur a heavy analog smoker. The MVP2 battery life and vv/vw will get u going in the riggt direction. Start there. The mvp and protank are my high nic pair. I use the mech and rda for my clouds. But the home made pt2 couls blow decent clouds.
If u ever want to know more about these kinda setup. Pm glad to help.
