Hello everyone glad to be apart of this forum. Been vaping for four months and haven't looked back at cigarettes smoked for 48yrs. wife and son talked me into it after my second heart attack. Just goes to show you how controlling cigarettes really were. Loving every minute of being a non smoker now and not smelling like cigarettes.

Welcome to ECF. Congratulations. You are in good company here. I smoke 2 pad for 46 years and vaping let me put the cigarettes down for the past 10 months. Some trials and errors, but it works. You have a good start. I ran across a thread with some good links with reading for newcomers here.

Enjoy yourself here and do not be afraid to ask your questions. There are experienced vapers that love helping out newer members and answering questions. A wealth of knowledge here for the asking.

I have been very fortunate my son has been vaping for about four years and has been able to help me out a lot. I am already mixing my own juice with large savings. I have worked in the food industry for nearly 40yrs. and mixing ingredients like this is easy for me. I do have a question about tobacco flavors are they derived from tobacco products or are they just a mixture of different flavors? Reason I asked this is I watched a video on u-tube where a person was soaking tobacco in water to use as a e-juice. To me this would be defeating the purpose of quiting smoking.

Many of the carcinogens from smoking is created by actually lighting the tobacco on fire and inhaling the smoke. Burning things changes the chemical makeup of what is burning. Also, the cigarette companies add other chemicals into cigarettes, but other forms of tobacco like pipe tobacco do not have these chemicals.
