New to this forum and to eCigs

Hi every one.
Before I post anything, and since I see that there are Forum Suppliers, under which the brand that I bought, I would like to know if we can write any comments on our experience with one or another brand, even if reporting problems.
Sure my first days with the brand that I bought were a great experience, surpassing by far any expectation I had.
From day one, I was disgusted by the cigarettes that I smoked for so many years.
I had never thought I could

But I also encountered some problems, and I would eventually like to share.
Will those posts be censored?

Thank you for this welcome.
I guess my experience in not very different from all the other ones, but for me it was so important!

I will start with the positive, because there is enough.
I thought about the eCigs for quite a long time, hesitated because I thought that it would be very hard to stop smoking.

The I looked around, and I opted for the HALO TRITON system, thinking that I would allow my-self a few cigarettes in the transition.

But the experience was so good that right the next day, the cigarette had no attraction any more.
I tasted many of the liquids and I found 2 or 3 combinations that made me almost ecstatic.

I live in a very cold area, so first not having to go outdoors when I have visitors was one of my first rewards, since I received my starter kit a few days before Christmas.

When I had my first problems with the eCigs, I found my-self reduced to come back to the cigarette for a few days, and already the first one disgusted me: the smell in the house after smoking only one was awful.
The ashes, the ashtrays, well everything that you know that were a routine in my smoker's days suddenly seemed unbearable.

My only regret is that I waited so long!

I would not call my first problem an issue with Triton, since this could have happened with any other brand: all the chargers that I saw on other brands websites seem very alike.
I think it was per se a very small issue, was only big for me:
I felt like a smoker who has cigarettes but can't find a lighter or a match anywhere.

When I tried unscrewed a battery from the charger, the female part (so inside the charger), came out with the battery.
I then noticed that the 2 sides of the plastic were unglued and loose, so everything in the charger went apart.
I guess this was a bad luck.
I contacted the support teem and we quickly agreed that the price of that charger would be credited to my credit card.
But since the starter kit came with only one charger, I had to wait for a few days until I received the new ones that I ordered.

So even if the probability of this happening another time is very small, I would suggest to anyone buying a starter kit (of any brand) to add at least one charger to the order. This would allow eventually to charge more then one battery at the time.

This was the first time that I had to come back to cigarettes. Seemed like an eternity.

So now I am close to my first 5 posts.

I do not want to discuss any issue with HALO Triton, at least for now.

I just want to say that I can have only good words for HALO's after sale customer service.
If it is difficult to reach a person when calling the phone number, replies by email are always fast, and most of the time solving the problem.
And as I mentioned earlier, I had absolutely no problem having the guaranty on one broken item.

I just regret that the instruction manual (available in the form of a PDF file on the web site, which I prefer a lot to a small characters printed manual) is not complete enough in 2 ways that I will explain later, when I have access to the other forums.

Well, the bright side is that you've got that out if the way (testing out customer service). Now you have first hand experience should an issue arise in the future (and the reassurance that they won't leave you holding the bag).

I would recommend falling back onto disposables when your gear is down. They may not be the best but they should help you get through the smoke cravings until your kit is back in action.

I guess this would be a good idea, but I have some environmental issues with disposables: I think that throwing batterie in the nature each time I smoke would add too much to the pollution of the earth.
We each can think oh what the heck, only a few more from compared to all, but when millions of people think like that, it ends up being a lot.

Thank you for this reply, I guess that now I have my 5 first posts ;-)

The only way I can recycle the batteries is to keep them all until I have enough of them and other products that I cannot throw to the normal garbage, and bring all once a year to a special place where the accept this type of garbage.
But what they do with them, I don't know and I am very septic on how they are "recycled".
I am certain they will be buried somewhere.

It was just the luck of the draw. The eGo style chargers are prone to failure and unfortunately there's no upgraded/ higher quality charger for the eGo that is available. Just remember to screw anything vape related only finger tight.
As time goes by you find that quality control within the vape industry is hit and miss except for a few manufacturers.
