I've been lurking this forum on and off for quite some time, and figured I'd finally join. I started off vaping with mostly the brands you can get locally such as Blu and Finiti. Those just didn't quite give me the kick I wanted and as such, I found them lacking. So I looked online and ended up going with Green Smoke and was pretty satisfied with that for a while, I was just getting tired of the prices and after reading posts on this forum I realized there were better and cheaper alternatives out there. Just a few days ago, I broke down and ended up getting a Joye Ego 510T and so far am not regretting it. Not a big fan of the juice I got, but I am pretty sure there are better out there. I got the menthol brand off of American eLiquid's website as it came with the kit. I am still learning the art of using a real e cig, such as not overfilling. I already have had my e cig leak. On top of vaping, I am also a big fan of nasal snuff and Swedish snus. vaping is just one of the ways I get my nicotine. It's so convenient when you can't snus or snuff. All this has been a blessing for me as a smoker of 6 years. These days, I only slip when I'm out drinking or are with other smokers. Otherwise, it's just vaping, snussing, and taking snuff.

It's kinda inconvenient and those are the times I just want that quick nic hit I used to get from a cig. Besides that, I am on a tobacco free campus, so I try to keep my on campus snussing to a minimum. Also, I generally don't keep my portions in for more than 30-45 minutes and most classes are an hour or longer.

I see. Well, I don't think an e-cig will give you a quick fix. That's not how they work; they are much slower than the real thing, but, of course, you're getting a kick from your portions, so the e-cig probably satisfies the hand-to-mouth, muscle memory thing.

Are they? I find that kind of strange. One observation I have noticed though with vaping, I have to take more puffs to get a kick than an analog. I guess I learn something new every day. Also thanks for the welcome, StevesCVO.

Yup! Nicotine absorption is much slower because it occurs mostly in your mouth, not your lungs. Also, eliquid does not have all the minor tobacco alkaloids that a cigarette smoke has (plus 4,000 other poisonous ingredients). Snus, on the other hand, delivers all the alkaloids--that's why some people still use snus, dissolvables, snuff or WTA eliquids. We have a snus subforum here, if you're interested.

Most, however, do perfectly fine with nicotine alone. :)

You're welcome.
