Hi guys I'm new to this site, and to vaping in general. I went to Artisan Vapors yesterday and bought myself my very first vape...
Vaporesso Target 75 VTC.
The shop worker set it up for me, and even filled it up with juice. I just have a few questions....

So I clearly chain vaped the (moderated) out of it, being new and unaware that you really shouldn't do that, and ran out of juice. Went to refill it myself for the first time... not sure if I put too much in or not but when I hit it, even if I haven't for an hour, the mouth piece gets super hot. (With it set at 20 watts.) Doesn't taste burnt or anything... did I already burn out the coil??

Also have a concern about the rubber piece that goes between the tank and the part where you adust the air intake... it won't let me attach a pic, but the rubber seems to have been almost sucked in there. Only a bit of it is sticking out/showing...

Any explanations, help, or advice would be much appreciated. Please don't call me an idiot for chain vaping my first two days... I didn't know better until now, and no one told me not to do so.

Welcome aboard
On the heat issue - double check your mod settings and wattage/temp control setting
On the rubber issue - is the tank leaking juice? It may be possible that the air valve (base) o-ring may have gotten deformed due to over tightening, but if it is not leaking you are probably good to go.
All else failing to fix the problem you might get the folks you bought it from to check it out.
OBTW if it is getting hot your coil is probably fine.
Good Luck

OBTW I chain vape and I've been doin' it for goin' on three years.

No I didn't watch GG, but, after hearing where it was purchased...

Member @Kaezziel has one & may be able to help.
The way I posted his user name will alert him to this thread, I don't know if he is online right now it may take a while.
Seems @cooladdict, @JoanJ, @therussellv, @Jtim and @_JB_ use them also.

The one I demoed for a local B&M fritzed out before I could vape 2ml.

The one that's in now is a "0.9 Ω" coil... it also comes with a "0.2 Ω Ni200" which the shop worker told me is meant for temperature control "something you won't understand until you get more experienced"... I'm seriously confused.

What's the difference between the two?? Can someone try to explain? I feel like I left the shop without getting the info I really need... I know how to adjust the wattage and temperature. Temp is set at 600°F. Should it be lower, maybe??

It's definitely heating up. Doesn't appear to be leaking. Next to the picture of the battery, on the little screen, it says "0.86 Ω".

Put it back in power mode and it will be fine.

Hello and welcome to the Forums!!! The one .9 ohm seems like it would be kanthal coil. Run that one in wattage mode at around 15-25 watts IMO. The .2 ohm NI200 is for temperature mode. For temp. I usually run from 380-450 F preference, 600 F seem a bit high but some people like warmer vapes. The difference between the 2 is how they can be ran. Kanthal is good for VV=Variable Voltage or VW=Variable Wattage modes. While you can run it in temp mode, it will not run correctly and is possible to ruin the chip. If I am wrong, some one please correct but that is what I was told about it. NI=Nickel which is good for running temp mode ONLY as it has way less resistance than Kanthal. You should be running it in wattage mode for the coil you have in there now. I am not sure how to change between the 2 modes but you should have a users manual and it will tell you how to change them (mode). Hope this helps.

I've only been using the wattage setting... it's only set at 20 watts. Haven't used the temperature control mode at all. Just switched over to it to see what the temp was already set at, but then I switched it back.

Mouth piece still gets hot. If I set the wattage any lower, I don't get much of a cloud at all. If I up the wattage, the mouth piece seems to get hotter, quicker. Is there something wrong with it, or am I doing something wrong somehow?

Question would be airflow, is it all the way open or closed and how do you take a puff from it? Mouth to lung or direct lung? Mouth to lung would make it warm up quicker as a direct lung cools the coil as to not heat it up as fast.

Are you gently / slowly inhaling or inhaling fairly hard / fast?
To slow/light will not move enough air through the 'tank' to keep it cool.

Do you have the airflow control more closed or wide open?

What you have is a fairly advanced set up, there will be a learning curve if you're just starting out, don't get discouraged or frustrated.
Keep experimenting with airflow & power.

The airflow is open all the way...the guy from the shop told me I should keep it this way. I think I'm inhaling directly into my lungs. I don't hold it in my mouth for a second before inhaling it like I did with a cigarette. I'm inhaling at what I feel is a moderate speed/intensity. Maybe I'm taking too long of a puff? About 6 or 7 seconds long? At around 5 seconds is when the mouth piece starts heating up though, and I have to stop.

According to the manual:
"To vape: Long pressing the power button to vape, it will initiate 10s' counting down to limit maximum time for one puff; pressing longer than 10s will shut it down, 'over 10s' will be shown on screen."
Haven't seen this happen. Just thought I'd include that for additional info...

I asked him for the best starter and that's what he sold me... /:
