Hi all, My name is Bill, I have been vape'ing for a week and I have a few questions that would be easier to ask via IRC, which I tried to join, but directed me to here. First, does Nicotine have a shelf life? (I'm afraid there going to go big tobacco on this and make the prices awful...) Second does PG or VG have a shelf life? If so, how long? I am going to learn to mix my own, if if the shelf life is long enough, by mass quantity and sit on it, so I can get my fix, even after the government takes over and Big Brother rapes us, yet again. Thank you and peace be with you all.

P.S.
I am AMAZED! Vape'ing at 50/50, with a 24 Mg nic concentration actually placates my urges, EVEN WHEN DRINKING! +D HELL YES! Just wish I could find a battery that would last a full 24 hours. I'm using an Evod 2 Clearomizer with (Not sure if 1.2 or 1.5 Ohm coil) and a Evod USB passthrough. I like the passthrough tech. I can smoke while I charge. I had to buy a second passthrough, to get me through work, because, even though I have power outlets where I work, usb ports are hard to come by, and honestly, I would like to find a REALLY long usb cord, if I was to smoke and charge. The short ones they come with...well, I pretty much have to plant my face next to the socket to get a hit! LOL

....NOTE, I am NEW to vapeing, I just now have the BASIC concepts down, after a few weeks of google and talking to people. I did not jump head first into this, like I did the 5 different Gas Station rip offs (Blu, Mystic, Mark10, Fin, etc..). I actually was skeptical as hell after all the let downs! I did know Ohm's law about 20 years ago, but High School was a long time ago, and my electronics Area Vocational class is no longer fresh in my mind. (I did ace it, however, so I hope it's like riding a bike)! So, I'm not trying to get all crazy yet, by making mods, and building coils and buying cotton balls to soak up my oil! :p I do understand all that, too.... (A little.)

Your Evod passthrough might still be a shorter life battery. I usually get about 6-8 hours out of a 1000 mah before I notice it dying. I have heard that the MVP lasts a full day without question. I don't have one, and it is shaped like a box, but I have heard really good things about it. I know that it is vv/vw but you don't need to understand ohms law, electronics or how to rebuild coils to use it.

If USB ports are hard to come by, what about those portable phone/battery charges that you can find in the drugstore for about $15 bucks. They are portable and light. Just a thought.

Good Luck and welcome.

Hi all, I put a couple posts in the "New Member's" forum, should I have put them here? I am new to vaping, but not new to electronics. I had a couple questions about juice, and a couple about "possibly" making my own mods, coils and what not. I knew Ohms law about two decades ago, like I knew how to breathe. (I was actually very good at it! =) But, as I said, it was two decades ago. Also, can anyone tell me the shelf life of Nicotine, Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin? I would truly appreciate it. Thank you... (Does Nicotine break down after a while?)

Buy a mod that uses the 18650 battery. You can carry a spare or two in a plastic snap top battery box. One will get you through most of a day. The batteries are about $10 apiece and you can buy a 4 bay charger for under $20 on Amazon. Nitecore Intellicharger I4 is a good choice. Efest LUC 4 is also good.

The Sigelei Zmax is a good choice for a stainless steel tube mod that uses 18650 batteries as well as all sizes in between 18350 and 18650. It does variable voltage and variable wattage. The specs are in the link below.

I'd recommend that you invest in an MVP for battery life, and for the fact that it's an awesome way to step up in vape quality. I've had one for about a month now, and I really like mine. The box shape isn't uncomfortable to hold or use, and I personally like the iClear 30 clearo that comes with it. For a great deal on an MVP, 101Vape.com has your back. About $40, and quick shipping. Great company to do business with if you ask me.

I don't know about nic/pg/vg shelf life, since I haven't gotten to where I want to try and make my own juice yet. I'm sure you can get some good info from the other members here though, this forum is a great resource for all kinds of vaping info and advice. Vape on! :vapor:

If you DIY ejuice the nicotine in a pg base can be put in the freezer in glass bottles and won't freeze solid. It will keep for years and lose maybe 1% strength per year. I buy the 100% in pg and it goes a long way. PG/VG will always be available.

My new itaste MVP2 can last me 3 days vaping at 7-11Watts and around 6ml of juice. Of course I always carry back up in case the coil poops out. The Segeli ZMax like DaveP mentioned is a good one at a good price. I'd have one but prefer boxes.

I would suggest the MVP V2 over the Zmax V5 myself but they both have their issues. If you are going to be carrying it in you pocket a lot the Zmax can unscrew and be a pain, if you over tighten your topper on the MVP it can push the center pin down so it no longer makes contact. Both can be fixed or dealt with, so its up to you! Like you have been doing, keep up the research and you will find something that fits your needs!

PS if you get 18650 batteries, make sure you get them from a reputable supplier and that they are hi-drain IMR's

Thank you all, and thank you especially K31Scout. As luck would have it, I can purchase a small freezer unit at half price brand new. (The lady got it a few weeks ago, and now says she need "whiskey" money! LOL) I am definately going to get it, and PG is my flavor of choice, since I prefer a deep throat hit! THANK YOU! (You don't think PG or VG may be hit hard? Since it can be used for this purpose?)

I think I'm going to fill it with PG based Nicotine! =D

Can you give me a good site to buy PG based Nicotine in wholesale?

I get mine from wizard labs in FL and they sell it by the gallon. Study the DIY forum further down the main forum page. There are many DIY calculators that will give you the proper mix values that include nicotine content, pg/vg ratio and any flavorings you want to use. Be very careful of the 100% nicotine; don't get it on your hands as it can be rapidly absorbed. Lot's of people opt for a 48% nicotine solution because it is safer if you have a spill.

PG/VG has many other uses besides ecig vapor. You can buy PG by the gallon along with the syringes you'll need to measure tiny amounts of liquids at Tractor Supply stores. It's used by cattle farmers with calves. The VG is used in cosmetics and other things and the flavorings will always be available as well. Good luck and study up!

As was pointed out, VG is a skin softener and PG is used on livestock for various purposes. Humco USP VG is sold at Walmart for $3.99 per 6oz bottle. PG is sold by the gallon at Tractor Supply.

I see ecigs as being regulated rather than banned. What will happen to juice sources is up for grabs. I expect some regulation on content by the FDA, just like our foods are inspected and regulated. All that will add some cost to the vendor that will be passed on to the consumer.
