I think so, but you would need the "full kit" which has the 510/ego adapter -- the istick only has 510 threading so it needs the adapter for ego-threads -- and I think the protanks all have ego threads?

The Pro Tank 3 and Pro Tank 2 has a 510 connector. The Pro Tank 3 Mini and Pro Tank 2 Mini has an ego connector.

....And the problems continue.

I took that Spinner 2 back to the shop. They were eager to replace it, with a new one straight out of the box. Cut to three hours later and I go to take a hit, button light goes out, it short-circuits and keeps firing even though I wasn't depressing the button and POOF! Toxic smelling smoke comes from under the button. I guess it's fried? Should I just try and use the scratch off code and get a new one shipped to me straight from vision?

Could do that I guess.. or just take it as an object-lesson that the pen styles are really not very reliable. It's hard to get much of a battery in that small a form-factor.

I don't recognise that. I was very happy with my Spinner. I once left it on charge for two weeks and it was fine. Then I PIFed it to a colleague and he's still using it. It's now over a year old.

Certainly the second Spinner was not fit for purpose and you deserve a refund/replacement. I suppose it is possible that you got two duds, but it doesn't seem likely. I would begin to wonder whether that B&M was selling clones (maybe without knowing,) and I'd be concerned that any replacement would go the same sooner or later. At this point I'd certainly consider talking to Vision directly. If you are considering moving up to a more capable mod, I'm not sure I'd buy it from the same place.

Ok then! So you could use the PT3 directly in the iStick30, and not need the adapter at all -- though if you don't get the charging cable, maybe because like me, you have a bunch of usb charging thingies already, you won't get the 1A -- unless you already have a 1A charging cable, maybe for a phone or something.

Does sound like a bad clone...can you check the serial numbers against the manufacturers web site?
I would also recommend the iStick 30W...now that you have great advice form all these folks, check some
of the reviews of the devices to help with your decision making. Phil Busardo is a good one.
Welcome to the club!

I also suspect these are counterfeit Spinners. Real Spinners have a pretty good reputation.

OP, I would return for a refund.

I also think you should get an istick 30W full kit. The 20W is overpowered so it doesn't work well with Protanks. The 30W will work well, and is a better mod for several reasons.

Or, if you like the Spinners, I recommend you buy them from Sweetvapes. They are authorized resellers. Charge them before using them the first time.

The protank 3 is a dual coil tank, and Kanger does make replacement coils as low as 0.8 ohm if i recall right. Of course that is into sub ohm territory and comes with more knowledge and safety to understand. The 30 watt istick will handle the .8 sub ohm coils fine as it can handle down to .4 ohm coils. The 20 watt will handle coils as low as 1 ohm I believe. Ego style batteries can't handle lower ohm coils, most people stay above 1.5 ohm with ego style batteries.
