I have to say, didn't we all spend a lot of money when we first started to vape. we didn't think about looking on a website to buy these devices. We wanted to quit now and didn't think anything of it. My first ego was 40 bucks. But you got to think and say to yourself "damn that was the best purchase I ever did!!!"

I saw a mate with one and was interested but didn't know where to get em. Saw some at a dodgy Indian smoke shop and bought a single use tobacco flavor for $15. Then I came back for an e-sheisha for $20. I decided to go for their rechargeable device 'eagle e-vapor' $50 with tobacco and apple cartomisers. Both tasted like crap and I lost it after 2 days.

Cue hours of online research and I ended up with ego-t starter kit 1100mah batteries and kanger clearos with 2 diy flavors and 4 premixed all 0mg (bought within Australia) $120
So far $205 in and I was liking the flavours but still couldn't kick the analogues. Had a look on my kit suppliers website who recommended rts vapes so $50 posted to aus for a 120ml 100mg and two weeks later I have nic

Total so far $255 and FINALLY I have quit smoking and I'm happy as hell about it :)

The biggest mistake would have been never trying an e cig.

Day one, you spent $12. You could have decided vaping wasn't for you, and found that out for only 12 bucks.

Of course, we all just bought the one perfect device first time at the best price. Not!

That's what almost caused me not to vape in the first place. I bought a couple of those cheap disposable gas station e-cigs (3 different kinds). I finished 1 of them, I made it half way through another one & threw the third one out after a couple puffs. Went back to analogs for several months & thought I'd never bother with e-cigs again. It took some convincing from a friend to try something else out to change my mind.

I did many dry runs with the original flea market Cig-a-likes where you punched through foild on the end of the filter. Juice leaked out everywhere and it tasted horrible. I got a free Apollo starter kit ( just had to pay 2.99 for shipping ) finally quit by using BLU cigs... survived off of Blu, Njoy reds, and gas station disposables ( a few that were actually pretty amazing just not cost effective )...

My first 650mah Ego was from a gas station in nederland texas. Was sitting there in my ambulance on a slow night. The battery, charger, carto, and a 10ml bottle of juice came to 20$... I was not impressed, but I could see that refilling a tank was going to be the best way to go money wise.

I have spend over 300$ in the last week on vape gear... I am going to find what works for me and use a few things as back ups, and give the rest away. I would have liked to been informed enough to start right out with an MVP, some kanger mini pro tanks, and about a gallon of the best rated juices around... but I always learn the hard way... knowing how awful a bad vaping experience can be will just make me appreciate all the awesome toys I have waiting for me at home.

Quite frankly tho, look how much over the span of a year you spend on analogs. Now that you have your gear, think of how much eliquid that buys, how long does the bottle last for 5-13 bucks? You spend a lot now, but save sooooooo much (sans ehhhh, oooooh that looks soooo neat) money. Plus shoot tastes sooo much better and smells so much better than analogs, and you're not hacking up a lung, and La Brea

Heheh... But down under, you guys pay $225 for a carton of cigs, don't you?...

Anyway, congratulations and welcome to ECF, mate. :)

Just think of the thousands and thousands of dollars spent on analogs over the years. The rushed $175 or so you spent excitedly on something new is nothing, like a previous commenter has said. In this day with 6 dollar packs of smokes, you spent that in a month. I'm very new to the game also and I wake up everyday excited as hell about not smoking anymore and vaping something tasty and less harmful to me. I actually made it to the checkout on about 3 different sites trying to decide what to purchase for the first time...you name it I looked at it and read about every product I could find....and I must say a Pro-Tank II and a manual Winder-style battery is the way to start off, and I would say only buy bottom coil tanks are the way to go and are way easier to service for a beginner. My big thing is wanting to get alot of different juice to try without having to order samples from 30 different companies. I really want something super fruity and something that mimic's a Marlboro Red to the T. Don't intend to highjack your post but I need some help here.
