Let me first start by simply saying I am 29, and from Maryland. I have been smoking for the past 10 years. My parents came back from vacation in Florida and they both had a new "Ego Device". I looked at them like they were ......ed with it. It was something I never heard of, and never knew they existed. That quickly faded away.

About 3 months ago I ordered myself an ego starter kit. Up until last week everything was a complete fail. It came with 2 batteries and 2 ce4 clearomizers. One of the ce4's lasted a week, then it got that burnt taste. Which I didn't realize that they only lasted a week at times. The second ce4 lasted about 2 weeks, and then did the same as the first. I went to a shop in Maryland (wont say the name), and purchased two of their brand of the Kanger T2's. I filled the first one up and let it sit for about a half hour to make sure the wicks got the juice on them. I used this one for about a day and the next day I kept smelling a strong peach smell in my room. I looked on the stand where I keep all my ego supplies and noticed that the its covered in liquid. I had the ego in the upright position because I am really OCD about things. I picked it up and it was everywhere. I attempted to clean the battery the best I could and let it sit, but the liquid had already destroyed that battery. At this point I have one T2 left. I filled that with liquid and let it sit for a while. Within the first half hour of using it, it got the worst burnt taste. I just left the whole thing of trying to vape be. I just went back to only cigarettes. I couldn't seem to either get a decent flavor or a clearomizer that would last more than a week.

My dad had told me about a place called "The Vapor's Knoll". We had went there a week ago and I purchased two more ce4's. (My mom has had hers for about 3 months) I figured I would give this a try again. I picked up some MY4 E-juice and filled the first ce4 up. I let it sit for almost 45 minutes. I placed it on my battery and when I pushed the button my battery would blink 3 times. My dad tried it on his battery and his didn't blink, but it did nothing. I was frustrated. I went out the car and got the second ce4 and filled that one. This one actually worked. I was thankful to actually get one that worked without issues. The MY4 and vaping experience was wonderful. I got home and did some research and found that sometimes the battery doesn't connect on the ce4's and you need to use tweezers/needle nose pliers and pull the connector on the ce4 down a little. I was pumped, I finally had a working unit and a flavor that tasted really good in my opinion. I was running low on juice as I only got a small bottle to try. I went back in today and got a 100ml bottle and a Kanger T3S clearomizer. All I can say is WOW! This took this whole thing to another level for me. I truly enjoyed it up until my battery died.

I am glad thing's finally decided to work out for me. I plan to order another battery for a spare and get a few coils for T3S. More importantly I am looking to really get myself off of cigarettes. It was a long rough journey to get this thing working and actually enjoy it. I am glad I didn't just say forget it. I am thankful for this shop that was actually able to help me along in finding what works.

It's really hard to go into vaping equipped with all of the knowledge to make it a pleasurable experience. I'm also doing this to quit cigarettes and there were times where I was so frustrated I wanted to chain smoke.

Almost all clearomizers will start to leak on you, some almost imperceptibly and some horribly. If the shop didn't tell you this next tip, you may want to make sure that you're separating the battery and the clearomizer when they're not in use. This will help prevent issues with the battery if there is any leaking.

Welcome Scott827, ECF is a great place to learn about vaping and make new friends.

I know, vaping can sometimes be frustrating. The awesome thing from your post is that you are determined to make it work. That's 99% of the battle right there.

What most people don't tell you before you start is that vaping is fiddly. You will fiddle with the battery, the clearos, the charger. You won't find a juice you like for weeks, you'll be craving a cigarette and wondering why the heck this is all happening and what does everyone else know that you don't.

Then, it'll happen. You'll get that vape that makes all the hassle worthwhile.

Sounds like it happened for you - and I wish you all the luck. Just be open minded about different devices and keep reading the forums to learn.

Enjoy the vape. :vapor:

Welcome to ECF.. sounds like you are on the right track now. I would suggest that you buy 2 more batteries at least, always have backups for your backups. Also get a few more T3s and maybe a Kanger Pro Tank for acidic juices. You can also change out your coil heads on those. And check out You Tube for videos on how to clean and dry burn your T3s, that way you can make them last longer before changing out your heads. Check out this website for more juices...cheap prices and fast shipping Best E Cigarette | Buy Electronic Cigarettes | E Cig Juice - MT Baker Vapor. Good luck and VAPE ON:vapor:

All I can say is WOW! Just registered and did my first post, and you all have been extremely supportive.

I have noticed that the T2 Kanger I have didn't leak at all. It just doesn't have a replaceable coil. I did order two more T3S's and some wicks. This forum alone has helped me learn A LOT! I have spent a lot of time on here reading the last two weeks and it has paid off.

Good for you. Keep coming here and you will keep learning. You already bought a 100ml bottle? Well you might want to try different flavors in small sizes before commiting to a bottle that large. And soon the Labor Day sales will be coming up.

Yes, I bought that tonight. I actually had bought a 12ML bottle last week and really loved it. It's the one flavor I have tried that made me not like the taste of a real cigarette.

Welcome to ECF, mscott! I'm sorry you had such a frustrating start to vaping but very glad you stuck with it!

By all means get backups for everything. You're lucky to have a B&M nearby, but remember, devices and tanks have a way of breaking down after midnight (usually Saturday night when nothing's open on Sunday, lol) so backups can be a godsend to the dedicated vaper.

Enjoy the forum, and vape on! :vapor:

Thanks! Luckily the store that I found most helpful is open 7 days a week. But, I do plan to get extras of everything.

Glad you found something that works for you.

Odd about your T2's, Kanger T2 should have a replaceable head, I have two and they both have replaceable heads. Whatever works for you is the right thing for you, glad you stuck it out and your local shop was able and willing to help.

Oh, and welcome to the Forum, lots of good people here who are willing to help.
