Hello everyone! Been lurking here for a while. I'm 31 and been smoking for 10 years and decided that the time is now to try and quit. I'm a RN, which obviously smoking is frowned upon and it's time for me to start to get back into shape. I picked up a Vuse about a month and a half back and actually enjoyed it. From there, I decided to take the plunge as I was still smoking cigarettes but I cut down. I was a pack a day smoker. Last Saturday, I received my Kangertech EVOD Starter Kit from Mt Baker Vapor, along with Menthol, Hawk Sauce, and a free Demon Energy e-juice. I also went to my local B&M and picked up a Kangertech Aerotank. Now here is my dilemma. For one reason or another, not really liking the Aerotank. I keep adjusting the airflow and not getting much pull or flavor, in my opinion. I like the tanks that came with the starter kit better. Also, other than the Menthol, which is really strong, I'm not in love with any of my flavors do far. I have had a few cigarettes since last Saturday (less than a pack) but I don't enjoy it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Jason, and welcome to ECF!

It might be that with your fixed voltage battery, you just don't have enough power to the coil. A lower resistance one may help with the Aerotank. Conversely, the Evod tank, while small in capacity, does vape really well. But try a new head in the Aero. It's also possible that it's just a bad one - it does happen!

Mt. Baker blends the flavor when you order it, and many of their juices require some steeping time to get to full flavor. To do that, just take off the tops and set them in a cool, dark place, away from mishaps, kids and pets, for a few days. Recap and shake well a couple times daily.

Flavors are very subjective, so the best thing to do is go back to that B&M and try some there. While their prices will be higher than online, it's a good way to narrow the field a bit.

its been 6 months since i have used a tank so im not going to be any help with that aspect. Just remember that while you are still using analogs your taste buds are muted when you get off the analogs and vape solely your taste buds will change flavors will change flavors you like you may not like in the future or you may like better and vice versa. also drink plenty of water.

Thanks! How will I know if the Aerotank is bad? I bought it from my local B&M. The only reason I did was because the Hawk Sauce is a tank cracker, apparently. If I want to upgrade soon, what's the next step? I'm new to all of this. Also, been drinking a good amount of water but my tongue does have a sort if dry feeling to it.

It's unlikely that the tank itself is bad (unless there's something visibly wrong with it). If anything, it's the coil head. Did you get any spare coils?

The starter kit itself came with 5 extra single coils and the Aerotank came with one extra. I changed it out and doesn't feel like much of a difference. Maybe I'm expecting the Aerotank to be a lot better than the regular EVOD tanks but so far, I don't feel that way.

The aerotank coil probably needs more power than what you've got supplying it; they come with dual coils.

Not everyone likes the same toppers. And sometimes you just need to try some different types, since a lot of it is largely subjective. :vapor:

I tried an aerotank shortly after they came out. Yours matches the finding I had. The aerotank AFC bases are great on the Protank and Protank 2 though.

Hype does not make a product great I found that to be true with the nautilus tank as well. Bought two and shortly after gave them away. I have PTs that vaped better.

I have the Kanger starter kit too. I'm still using the batteries after almost a year. For much of the time I used Kanger Mini Protank 2 exclusively - both v1 and v2. I haven't tried others, so I can't compare them, but I was quite pleased with the MPT2s and liked them better than the EVOD tanks. I rebuild the coils on MPT2s and still use them as back-up/supplementary devices, but for the past few months I have been mostly dripping using an IGO-s on Kanger VV 650 mah batteries.

Ok, I will probably pick up a mini pro tank this weekend and give that a shot. Just not feeling this Aerotank. Already thinking about going to the next step. Probably not for another month or so but seeing a lot of people rave about the MVP 2.0. Is that a good next step?

the mvp2 is the best bang for the buck in batteries for new vapers.

you get ahold of an mvp2 for 40 bucks then you can pay more attention to the real business end of things - what you put on top;
once you figure your way around the top, later on you will probably end up with a mod that takes replaceable batteries.
