Firstly I want to thank everyone for all the amazing advice. I have noted everything that has been mentioned! And Im reading up on it. I to worry about what else Im inhaling with the vapor. I guess a leap of faith is needed every once in awhile. But I do appreciate everyone's advice and well wishes.

Yes this Blu is horrible but at the moment unless Blu takes it back and gives me my money back I will be stuck with it for awhile ( I just bought a new house ). At least a month. I need a heavy throat hit and let me tell you the blue just does not cut it. I do like vaping but with the blu I feel like its attached to my lips because I just dont get what I need from it for it to be effective.

My end goal of course is to quit smoking all together I may vape with 0 Nicotine though for social situations which is when I smoke the most I think. Unfotunatly there is no brick and mortar store here in Oregon... I think they were banned... but I cant remember for sure. Anyway. Keep the advice coming I find it all very helpful and its nice to talk with people who have been doing this for awhile. Thanks again!

Just a quick note of encouragement...I smoked for 25 years and enjoyed the hell out of it. I didn't want to quit but it was getting so expensive and I know it's bad for me. I tried cold turkey, I tried ramping down to zero, and refused to use the patches or pills. My attempts were unsuccessful and I think it was because I didn't WANT to quit. So I tried vaping. It was incredible...I didn't miss cigs one bit! For me I think it's more the kinetic experience than it is the nicotine but either way vaping did the trick for me and it was easy as pie. Best of luck to ya, even though you won't need it!

I started out with Blu, and switched brands in record time...complete waste of money. It's a learning experience. Here I am, 6 months later, and I'm just NOW discovering what I like the most, and what I will be sticking with, permanently. I wasted a lot of money on the way, I wish I had discovered this place earlier :(

Agreed ..Atlanta huh? where at I am in woodstock.
There is a Vaperite retail store on 575 and 92...good place to hang out and meet folks and they have a juice tasting couch with a carousel of favors to taste ...

and to Greg...Hang in there bro...find a local retail store and go there...if there is not one Discountvapers.com or Awesomevaper.com
are 2 well trusted sites and both are in the ECF vendors list.

My 2cents...get 2 good 900mah eGo batts...preferably a twist or a spinner..(variable voltage) so you can use higher ohm coils. You can find starter kits all over the web and prices vary by a few bucks...

Kanger T3 or Vivi Nova V2 are both very easy to learn delivery devices and produce a great vape experience.

Learn all you can about vaping and watch some vids...

Stick with it and Vape on !!

Hey fellow ECF noob. I was overwhelmed as well with all the terminology. Just google away. I made the mistake of purchasing "cheaper" equipment when I first started and have since upgraded to equipment that has me in vaping heaven. I know money is tight for everyone now, but if you are commited go with a middle of the road APV (advanced personal vaporizer). You will be much happier in the end. I started with the "skinny" ecigs for over a year and the charging of batteries just proved to be too much. Any battery from 18350 up will allow you much more vaping freedom. I am way into mods now and I love them but I understand they are not for everyone. Just make sure you google an ohm/voltage chart and start trying different setups out. There are some very functioning APV's for $30-40. Just add cartomizer, liquid and tank and you are set. GOOD LUCK and if you have questions, post on ECF. The members in every ecig forum I have joined have been GREAT people who enjoy helping noobies out. These are just my opinions and I am sure others have way better information than me.

Welcome fellow newbie! If you liked the size of the blu and the convenience than a good recommendation is the eRoll from joyetech. Its a cig a like and preforms GREAT! If you plan on upgrading not to long after you start vaping you may want to go the ego route as you have many different options for delivery systems. As far as the confusion of the lingo and things of that sort about vaping, you will pick up fast, especially if you frequent ECF. When I started both me and my wife were overwhelmed but about 2 weeks into vaping I had learned A LOT! Its pretty simple once you know what you are looking for. Good luck on your journey!

O.K. so, I think Im going to go with the

eGo Twist
Kanger T3
Some Extra Wick Assemblys

I read up on them and I have looked through a lot of posts here on the forums, and the Twist and Kanger keep popping up as suggested and good for me to start with. Much better then the Blu I have been using haha. I did find a store here in Oregon but its about 44 minutes away I may make the trip down there when I get my stuff all together so that I can try some of the liquids they have there at the store.

Im thinking here in Portland or Gresham OR people would make a killing if they opened a shop. We only have 1 in all of Oregon. I know Vaping is gonna grow here I'm actually surprised it hasn't yet. My friend is in Austin TX he just started himself not long ago I think Im going to have him come to this site too. He is excited that Im getting into vaping cause now he has someone to talk about it with haha.

Anyway. Again I cant thank you all enough for all the well wishes with my journey to quitting and all the helpful advice. Im pretty stubborn sometimes I think Ill do fine once I set my mind to something I always follow through. Its been a few days now still no cig and thats with a Blu. I think once I get my items together, It will become much easier!

Thanks for the heads-up, Clearo-Mizer. I live in Smyrna, specifically (within spitting distance of downtown), never been to Woodstock, but I WILL keep that in mind, if I ever have to travel to/through that neck of the woods, and will Google it beforehand. :vapor:

I started off with a Blu and honestly .. went back to analogs within a couple weeks..

get yourself a 510 joyetech or ego starter kit to start out.. it will give you a much better 'bang for your buck'

i wish i did some more research before i got the Blu kit. I would google to see if there are any local Vapor shops near you.. that way you can go in and see everything in action.

just stick with it you will get past the analogs.. just like so many of us have!

(most of the time I spent smoking analogs has been replaced with playing around with different mods, blending juices and surfing the forums. Best to keep busy and keep your mind of the cigs)

So I went ahead and got the Ego-Twist and the Kanger III :) Going to be buying another Battery here soon. Got an extra wick and all that good stuff. So I'm doing much better. The thing I am noticing though.. Is I havent smoked it that much and according to the guy I talked to the tank should last like 2 - 4 weeks and In 1 day its at half way empty... I mean I only puff maybe 3 times every 2 hours if that sometimes. Is that normal?

Tomzgreat's advise is good. But mine's better. hahaha :toast: all in good fun, of course. I hate Kanger and Clearomizers, but I love cartomizers.

You'll learn quickly that there's no "better" or "best" eJuice or vMod or ecig. It's all about preference. Take heed to everyone's advice here and all over the forum and try out things for yourself. You might even want something totally different, but great start on finding this forum and starting this thread to find your way. Cheers!
