Another thing you could do in your situation is just get some VG from Walmart and some PG from a local farm supply and buy flavorings and DIY your own juice, since you already went through the nic withdrawl. It would save alot of money and you could put the amount of flavoring you prefer. VG produces more vapor and PG gives more TH. I'm sure you won't be as disappointed with an eGo, but remember to keep the atty wet, but not flooded, that will save you from getting the nasty dry atty burn.

You may also want to invest in cartomizers because they are so much less hassle.

Find you a good vendor. People on the forum can direct you to probably and inexpensive one to get you started again. Stay with the 24mg til you feel you can go down one level of nicotine. I advice people here in town, NOT to purchase e-cigs here in town. They are cheap and half the time don't work. The one at our mall just sold the kits, no joose or accessories. Then they wanted an arm and a leg for them. Don't give up Winkos, stay with it. You will get to the point where you will never turn back to analogs. HTH

Also, here is a Coupon Code Master List. It wil help you save some monies from whoever you purchase from.

Hi everyone. I quit smoking 4 years ago. Gained 40 lbs and realized I became addicted to food. Lost most of the weight but find myself almost overwhelmingly tempted to overeat due to my addictive personality. My son (a non-smoker) intoduced me to vaping. I liked it and bought a mall e-cig. At first I liked it as it calmed my nerves and gave me back something that I missed so much- a feeling like smoking and it killed the urge to overeat.

3 weeks later and my e-cig experience is disappointing. It is so hit and miss. A few good vapes then it seems the battery dies or something. Very little vapor, very little satisfaction. I read these forums and cleaned the atty, and tried dripping on to the atomizer. Messy, very little vapor...etc.... Every once in a while I get a satifactory hit so I have continued. I bought an Ego this weekend and am waiting for it to arrive.

Do you think the problem I have is the mall e-cig I bought? I want to enjoy the satisfaction that others on this forum are receiving. I use the lowest 8mg nicotine juice and I use the zero nicotine juice. I am sure the juice I have is the lowest quality from China. My son had some 11mg nicotine and a few vapes from his and I got that buzzed feeling. But after a few slow draws the taste turned burnt and the disappointment grabbed me again. He has a mall e-cig too but different then mine.

I am hopeful it is the cheap e-cig I have. Does this sound like it or do you think vaping in general is not for me?

Thanks!

I had a very similar experience that you did. I bought one of those overpriced e-cigs at the mall and it was HORRIBLE. I quickly went back to smoking regular cigs in no time.

Then after reading some reviews on here and youtube. I decided to by an ego-t type b from cignot.com. I'm telling you right now, it's the best thing I've done for myself in a while. This thing hits like a champ and I don't have to worry about refilling it, dripping, etc. It's very low maintenance. I'm down to one cig after my first day using it and it's going to definitely help me quit for good after another few days.

Try Kickbassvapor, go to their thread and PM zbasspro and he will help you out. Read the reviews and go to youtube to see the reviews as well. Not a joose that I don't like there. Some people spend 100's of $$$$ trying to find a good joose. HTH  Their website should be up soon. Awesome customer service.

I have tried 12 juices, in different nic levels, and still haven't found the perfect one. Ive only been at this for a little over a week though. Hmmm.....twelve juices, 2 Rivas and another battery on the way, 20 cartos, 5 attnys, 15 cartridges, a syringe, a needle, a pipette, two cones, a drip tip, and pretty colored rubber bands..........hmmmmm..........I may have a problem. HAHAHAH!!!

If you quit 4 years ago, you should be clear of any nicotine addiction. Sounds like you need a good E Cig such as the Tornado/Ego.

I wouldn't suggest putting too much, if any, nicotine in your juice, if vaping doesn't work out for you ultimately it would be a shame to increase your chances of returning to the dreaded analogs.

Anyhow, to reiterate what everyone else is probably saying, you need a decent vaporiser, the Tornado/Ego Tank springs to mind.

I started on e-cigs about 2 months ago - having smoked analogs for 40+ years. Like you, I was disappointed. But I was also determined to make vaping work for me. Here's my experience:
  • Started with a 510 Joye kit with cartos. Horrible battery life, inconsistent vaper and messy.
  • Bought low resistance 510 attys and some cartomizers. Some improvement, still messy.
  • Bought a 510 passthru and began dripping. Much greater flavor (from the higher voltage), but not portable.
  • Bought an eGo-T.
  • Bought low resistance eGo-T attys. Much better than the regular eGo-T attys.
For e-juice, I bought samplers from various vendors. Some were horrible. Some were excellent.
Still looking for perfection (like every vaper is) -- but I'm very close to finding my preferred e-juice.

I got discouraged by all the maintenance required for the 510 (cleaning attys, filling carts, etc) but have found the eGo-T with a LR atty and 24mg juice is my answer. The battery life is outstanding, the tank is pure genius and the maintenance is minimal.

Having read everything I could find about the eGo-T, I was a little hesitant by many of the reported problems and bad reviews. As far as I'm concerned, the eGo-T is the best investment I've made. It does not leak, is easy to fill and I can vape all day on a single battery.

eGo-T with LR atty and some good 24mg juice = Vaping Nivana

Just FYI - the web is just as bad as the mall. There is a whole seedy upper crust of ecig resellers. Some are reputable and some are huge huge ripoffs, some sell decent compatible models, some sell decent models incompatible with blank carts and made harder to refill, some sell weak models like what you already bought.

Here we usually buy models under their original names/numbers with a couple of exceptions like Vapor4Life (which is a KR808D-1 and offers manual batteries and soft-cap cartos and juices and only charges a slight premium for their special color batteries) and a few decent 510/Ego rebranders like Volcano. For 510 (and Ego and Riva) hardware people usually use places like Cignot.com, Litecigusa.net, Liberty-Flights.com - i.e. good price multibrand hardware vendors.

I decided last night I was giving up vaping ...and my Ego arrived in the mail. I can't wait to try it. I seriously am not worried that I will ever go back to smoking...even if I become addicted to e-cigs. It is never about the nicotine for me as I could not do the patch or gum when I quit. They just made me sick The nicotine was never the fix.....it was the whole gratification process of getting thru stress for me. You know the thought "as soon as I get through this I am going to have a cigarette" mentality. I would rather cut off my hands then go back to smoking. I mean that. And going back to smoking means a divorce as well so I am pretty safe in saying I will not go back.

But unfortunately my addictive personality kicked in when I quit smoking. I drank wine at night for months at a time. Then decided that was bad, gave it up and found myself eating. Gained so much weight as I stated but was able to get most of it off. I have plenty of hobby projects, have a wonderful family and a full time job that I worked hard to get to. But the addiction component of who I am is never satisfied the way it was with cigarettes. When I had cigarettes I was thin, productive, happy and not stressed. When I quit I lost a lot of pleasure in my life.

To obtain that pleasure again.......well it would make me so much happier in general. So I am pinning my hopes on my new e-cig or I will go back to struggling without an addiction at present. I have been through counseling, done everything the way I am supposed to and struggle with it just the same. I know alot of people in this forum can relate and I am grateful to be able to say these things here...as I have not said them to anyone else but my family. My e-cig is charging right now. Eight hours to charge and will see if my Happy Place has been restored. Wish me luck!!!!!

Good luck to you :) If you got eGo, you should try LR (low resistance) atomizers. eGo produces only 3.2 volts, and if you use atomizers with standard resistance, you may be a little disappointed. And always avoid to overheat atomizer. I always say to newbies: if during vaping you want to cough, then your atomizer is burnt.
As a matter of fact, no need to charge accumulators 8 hours. Just charge them until green light appears. Believe me, it's OK for battery ;)

These newer type batteries don't have to be fully charged to use and they probably had at least 80 percent charge out of the box. So you can grab the one off the charger and vape away while the other charges if you want to. :vapor:

I as well am new to vaping 32 days. I bought a 510 pen style and e-liquid from eastmall.net I like it and don't really miss the analogs. There was/is a learning curve on using and maintaining the e-cig however I live in Canada and packs of analogs are 12.00 a pack and I really didn't mind the periodic cleaning that is required to have a good vaping experience. I think once you get a eGo (although I have no experience with it) you'll see an improvement. From what I've read the e-cig from malls are not the greatest. Let us know once you've tried the eGo how you like it! I have ordered some e-juice from a supplier in Canada and can't wait to try it so I can compare to the less expensive juice from China (although I don't mind it, I have not compared it to other juices.

This may be a bit premature but I took the advice that some of you gave and gave it a go without the battery being charged the 8 hours it was recommended. OMG!!!!! Now this was the experience I was craving. I am loving it! I bought the prefilled cartridges. Smooth menthol taste, no burn, and I feel the satisfaction I used to feel when I dragged on an analog. Thanks so much!!

Quick questions: How long should a prefilled cartridge last on average? And can I just refill it with the spearmint smoke juice I bought? Just add some drops to the polyfill when needed?

Winkos, I'm so glad to hear you're loving it. I was like you. I could quit smoking, but it honestly just sucked the joy out of me. Smoking is tied up mentally with so many pleasures. Vaping is a great substitute. I recommend people start with 24 mg (even 36 if Jones'ing badly) and taper down if desired, rather than the reverse order. You will find your groove, just keep at it. And that's a great statement above -- anything you can buy at a mall you should take a pass on. Good luck with your vaping adventure!

Glad to hear you're enjoying it, the carto can be refilled. Just drip the juice in to keep the filler damp, and try to miss the center (that's the air passage) and give it a blow out after refilling (keeps the juice out of your mouth)

ENJOY IT !!! :)

LOL! it all seems so overwhelming doesn't it? I haven't decided which ecig I am going to use yet. I bought an ecig from 7-11 to tie me over until I decide. I keep seeing good things about the Joye and Ego, so I think I am going to give one of those a try.
