I'm relevantly new to it too. I started with a MVP 2.0 (iTaste) with an Aspire nautilus Mini. Just bought a iTaste 30W and using my Aspire's on that. I've been playign with the settings and I think it all depends on the juice and your set up to find a sweet spot that you like. I'm still messing around with mine. I'm still learning about Ohms and which coils etc so hang in there! This forum is great for info!

I think keeping an open airflow with high PG, plus the fact that the coil was so low (1,2) is what is definitely going to make you cough and gag. Space Jam is great juice, but my customers seem to like it more using a 1.8 to 2.0 ohm coil due to the PG/VG ratio. Maybe try something with a higher VG ratio, and lower nicotine strength as well.

I'm guessing you bought the set-up online? I would definitely recommend either the iStick 30watt or the MVP 30watt to be paired with your Subtank. You're definitely going to want to invest in the 1.8 coils if you stick with the Vamo.

The Vamo is OK, I just think the Subtank is really useful for vaping with the .5 ohm coils, and you will probably find yourself upgrading to a 30 or 50 Watt device before you know it:)

Good Luck!

I have a nano its just a harsh tank, if you mouth to lung hit it you will cough like crazy even straight lung hits its rough. as far as rebuilding the coils its easy but i have made everything from a .5 to a 1.8 i used japanese organic cotton, rayon, silica wick with to much or to little and everytime it taste like burnt hair. i bought a new coil put it in taste fine, i still dont like the tank it just sits now. I bought a Melo just for the price and its 100 times smoother than the nano just a much better tank. my best vape for me is my istick 20,and 2 kamry 20's all 3 with gs air tanks.

If you like to vape, a iStick 30 watt with an Atlantis tank is a good combination, their both inexpensive and you can adjust the power on the iStick to suit your taste with the Atlantis tank....or any tank for that matter...even inexpensive Eleaf Air tanks, which have super inexpensive coils which last.
Thanks! I just ordered a 30w and the Melo atomizer with glass tube from eleaf.com . Love this site! No flaming (yeT. My verbosity brinhs the troll out in people. Especially when im writing music/ lyrics like now. Just words. Ha.) no pretense! Even the vape shop I went to was run by douche elitists. I was behind an older guy that was interested in upgrading from his convenience store, 1st gen ecig and the clerk laughed and said he had a 'terrrible Chinese ecig' and that they aim for 'sophisticated clients that don't necessarily smoke but are interested in not only vaping but the lifestyle'! He, of course, said he would find another store or go online. I pulled out my Mark ecig and just waited for her to lay into me. But she was at Third Man when I played with Jack white and knew me so she acted like a fan girl. After her torrential Bull.... act she used trying to get me to f_$$ her I told her me and my new buddy would go cuz we just weren't their kind of people. Ha. The boss (wwho was demoing this huge thing blowing out clouds of what smelled like sprite vape while this happened) ran over and acted cool. Then slipped up and asked when we(third man records)were gonna release the tri color vinyl(limited edition yellow, white, and black colored versions of our 7" singles. Only make 100-300. Ebay flippers pay homeless people from across the storefront to stand in line to buy them To sell for 10x $. Why we stopped releasing Em at third man store. Anyway) of the jacl white solo single 'would you fight for my love'. Showing he was a fan boy using me. I got the other customers number and bought him a White Rhino too. He's my vape buddy. Ha. Even came by the studio. I just ordered another 30w for Ronnie. Thanks again.

You could by the sub-tank, use the rebuildable section, buy a bag full of prebuilt 1.5-1.8 ohm coils on Amazon... Cheap.

Their a lot better than the OCC coils too, no snap-crackle-pop.....:)

Their so inexpensive, I don't bother wrapping coils any more.

I used to be pre wrapped coils when I was still trying to master wrapping my own, was so nice and easy. I still will occasionally buy a pack of fancy coils(claptin, chain, zipper, etc) that I am either 2 lazy or 2 dumb to build myself.

With standards I still like making my own, its relaxing to me and only takes a minute.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is that why I have been going through coils every 3-5 days? Is there any alternative besides getting a rda, and buying new coils.
Yeah, when I was using my vamo, I used a tank that took cartos and I needed to change em at the same rate. Anything I've ever used that took cartos wore out way too fast. I got real sick of spending all that money having to buy packs and packs and packs of those things. I got curious and disassembled one to see ... was going on with these damn things and figured out why they didn't work for me like I wanted them. There's barely a coil, the wire in there is so thin, and the wick....fuggetaboutit! I got my boyfriend to teach me how to build my own coils, watched a bunch of YouTube videos, and practiced...a lot! Now I love vaping more than ever! Once you get the right gauge wire, the right wicking material, and the right mod/tank or dripper combo goin on you may find yourself better off. All of this is just my opinion, based on my own personal experience, so take it or leave it as you like [emoji4] [emoji4] [emoji4]
