Hello all,
I am new to vaping, just ordered my equipment/juice on Saturday. Wanted to give you guys a run down to get some useful feedback on what to expect! So, I ordered eGo-C /w Vivi Nova Tank starter kit from MyFreedomSmokes.com . 1000mah and 3.0 tank. Got a message early this Monday morning stating that is Shipped already (Wow, A+). Chose this as an alternative to the Vapor Shark that is sold locally.. it's practically the same thing.. different name, but much cheaper.

Moving on to juice... I researched on this forum and youtube looking for various vendors and decided to test my luck with ECBlends. Their well priced sample juice was a great way for me to start. I paid just under 15$ for 6-5mL samplers. I chose RY4, Dragons Blood, Dragons Tear, Cola, Fruit Smoothie & Pina Colada. I got them all in 6mg, no added anything (all plane jane) in 50/50 mix. Any reviews on these? Is added flavor necessary..or is that a personal judgement call I must make on my own?

Now, I have a question as far as dripping with my vivi nova that I was unable to find a solid answer on forums/youtube. To drip on the mini nova, all I simply do is remove the plastic cap from the tank and drip 1-2 drops into there and vape? I am asking because I don't want to just fill my tank with a juice and not enjoy it. I want to try them all and see which one I am going to indulge first. If someone could post a link/pic of precise instructions as I do not want to mess up my new vape first time I use it.

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply to my post!
Have a good one

The eGo batteries and Vivi Nova tank is an excellent start for gear. You did get two batteries with the kit, correct? Even though the 1000 mAh battery may last you most of your day, it's always recommended to have at least a second battery on hand for when the primary is being charged, or should that one battery unexpectantly die. It happens.

No recommendations or comments on the juices you got, but getting samplers was a great idea to find a juice that you will enjoy enough to purchase in larger quantities in the near future. Those flavors look to be safe, but being a new vapor be aware that there are some flavors that are known to crack or melt the plastic that your Vivi Nova's are made of. I've written an article on this phenomenon that can be found in my blog: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...6-something-safe-cinnamon-citrus-flavors.html

You also did not say how heavy of a smoker you are (were). The 6 mg may not cut it for anyone who was smoking 1/2 pack per day or more. A one ppd smoker normally starts out with 18 - 24 mg nicotine.

To be perfectly honest, I've never heard of anyone dripping on a Vivi Nova. I suggest that you purchase a drip atomizer that is specifically designed for dripping. An alternative to an atomizer to sample flavors is the Nano clearomizer, but it's plastic is not safe for all flavors as it is made of polycarbonate plastic. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...k-what-primer-juice-delivery-attachments.html

The Vivi Nova's are a top-feeding clearotank, so in order to prevent "dry hits" it's important to frequently tip your device horizontal or swirl the juice around to keep the string wicks wet. Especially as the juice level falls in the tank.

Looks like a good starter kit, Taste of juice is very subjective I've heard good things on your choices RY4, D blood and tear all of this just going by hearsay, Ive not tried them myself. Dripping is something you might want to wait on until you have a little more experience. I'm not too sure if you can even use a nova for that I'm sure someone will chime in on that. Fill a nova half full and sample each flavor. If you don't like it, it might just need some steep time. Many have tried a juice and said yuk put it on a shelf and went back a month or so later and tried it and it was much better. Good luck and welcome to the forum

Baditude: Thanks for responding. I checked out a post by my4jewels on this forum relating to the melting of poly tanks. The most recent update from about 2 weeks ago shows these from ECBlends that may cause this problem:
Ecblends Apple Pie
Ecblends Banana
Ecblends Cinnamon Apple
ECBlends Gingerbread, double flavor
ECBlends Grape
ECBlends Rootbeer
.......thanks for notifying me of this and prompting me to do further research!

Raynman: I have read on that as well, I see many liquid reviews showing that they did not like the flavor at the time of delivery, but even after just 24hours of 'steeping' or i like to call it 'marinating'.. the person said the flavor was awesome! So, I will keep that in mind when sampling out my new flavors. Thanks for the response

I have Apple Pie from ECBLEND and haven't had a problem with regards to plastic tanks.

I am a huge ECBLEND fan and have tried a few of their regular selections. I much prefer to use the create your own wizard and play mad scientist. When first starting out, it's best to buy samples of what you think you will like from a few different vendors.

Azmo, do you use any ADDED Flavor? I wanted to test drive the standard before I decide to put any addons for my next order. What kind of experience do you have with that? Good to start with the basics and just adjust to liking?

Also... I really wanna hear from someone who uses Mini Nova 3.0 tank.. can I drip with this? I kind of want to avoid spending more money on other heads... but don't want to break my new equip.

Thanks

I've never used that particular tank, but if it is like most others, I would say it's best to avoid dripping with them. You would be better served just buying a dripping atomizer. They're not that much and you would only need 1.

I use vivi nova tanks all the time - the original Vision vivi novas. Whatever kind you have, no, they aren't designed for dripping. They have wicks which need to be wet and which draw the juice to the coil.
If you want to drip you need to buy an atomizer - or a few. You can get atomizers pretty cheap. I'd say 2 ohms would suit your set up.

Nrod, welcome to the forum!

ECB's pina colada (just like you have it, no extra flavor, 50/50) is one of my top 5 favorite juices. Have never tried their cola, but cola is currently my favorite flavor. IMO, ECB does an especially good job with their fruity flavors. If you think you might want a sweeter vape, I'd suggest you order some of their sweetener and add it yourself, to your taste. (Be aware that what they sell is ethol maltol, which tends to gunk up coils rather quickly.)

I second the notion of letting your juices steep, and of not discarding juices you don't especially like. Save them in case of a vaping emergency!

Just an FYI. I purchased 510 SmokTech Atomizer from ECBlends. Will this work fine with my eGo-C? And I couldn't help myself but order more samples from ECBlends. Got Peach, Mango 2.0, Pineapple, and Banana Nut Bread LOL. I should be good for a while on juice.

Those will work fine. But only use a few drops at a time.
