New to Vaping: Day 1

Hi, my name is Faith and I have been an analog smoker for 37 years. My daughter Elana (who is also a member of this forum) recently brought me my Joye eGo. I have only had it for 3 hours and have managed to cut down my analogs to 2 cigarettes down from 6! i am really excited to be taking a proactive choice against fighting my addiction and am very excited to be here. My lovely daughter says this is a wonderful place for information and a sense of community and encouragement on my journey to becoming a healthier me.

The different smoking cessation devices I have tried include: Nicorette gum, patches, pills. The difference between those forms of smoking cessation and vaping is huge!

My daughter originally had me try her Promsmoke m403 model ecig and it just didn't cut it. The vapor production was nice, but apparently it wasn't as powerful and didn't have any PG in it. My Joye eGo has a nice TH and is much more similar to smoking and is just as satisfying. HOORAH!

That is one great PV to start off with. Congrats to you and good luck. It's nice to have your daughter to help you with the learning curve. I'm sure you will be successful with it. Just don't get down on yourself when you do have an analog. Definitely post here with any questions. This is a great community and loaded with plenty of info.

I smoked 2+ PAD for 33 years, though I'd "cut back" by switching from Marl Reds to Lights the last yr or so. Could be worse... started out sneaking my dad's non-filtered Pell Mells and smoking Kools.

Hey, I just saw Elana's post. She ordered flavors for a DIY juice -- mistakingly thought they were vaping juices. Maybe you can grab them from her and shelf them until you learn the ropes. Then you guys can make your own eJuice together. Fun, fun, fun.

I'm doing DIY as well. I got them on purpose, I just didn't have any concentrated nic juice or pg/vg at the time. When I got my first PV kit (a week ago heheh) it was Prosmoke version of the m4xx and all the prefilled carts were 100% vg had almost no flavor and i used the PA flavors mixed with the prefilled carts to give them a flavor boost. I now have juices at a 70pg/30vg mix and that is hitting the spot as far as flavor is concerned! Yummy!

I started out smoking my Dad's non-filtered camels. So...I got hooked fast.
