Been a pack a day Marlboro smoker for over 7 years. I just turned 32 and I think I started to realize that I am not invincible. I just got that "feeling" that smoking was going to kick me in the face hard one day and I was going to regret it.

Anyways I bought an Itaste MVP v2.0 with a few extra IClear 30 Clearomizer's with a half dozen or so flavors all from MtBakerVapor (Blueberry, Grape, East Coast Tobbaco, American Tobacco, Butterscotch, Root Beer, and GWARr4). Ordered on a Friday night, got it Monday morning from the other side of the country (Free 2 day Priority Mail).

The Eliquid I got was all 50/50 blend with 24mg Nicotine and 3 extra flavor shots besides their GWAR juice which is 18mg Nicotine.

First day I vaped around 6ml of Ejuice. Tried to have a regular Marlboro not because I felt that "craving" but I was curious about how smoking tasted since the Blueberry and GWARry4 I was vaping on was so sweet. The Marlboro was horrible. I smoked a pack of them the day before, and 4 hours after starting vaping they already started to taste bad. I noticed some differences though right away with vaping. I was taking a few hits and stopping for 5 minutes, taking a few hits, stopping, constantly. With cigarrettes you are taking 20-30 drags to finish a ciggarrette and then stopping for 30 minutes to an hour. I felt like I was "vaping" more then I would be with regular smoking, but it was just because I was taking fewer hits at a time and spacing them out.

Second day I vaped around 5ml of Ejuice. In the morning when I first woke up for around 5 minutes I was sure I was going to have a Marlboro but vaping really does substitute regular Nicotine from smoking. As soon as I vaped I felt fine My mind was telling me that the Marlboro was going to be better and that the vaping was missing something but as soon as you take a dozen or so vape's, you realize that isn't true. The taste of Vaping is what really helps alot. The flavor's are actually good.

Third day I vaped around 4ml of Ejuice. I also started doing more hits at once even if I felt like I didn't need it, to see if I could seperate myself from the symbiotic relationship with my MVP v2 for more then an hour. Worked out well. I went an hour in between. Usually when I eat I crave tobacco but when I eat now, I don't crave Vaping nor Tobacco. I haven't had any liquor yet so I don't know if when I drink I will want to chain vape.

Today is the Fourth Day and tried the Tobacco Flavored Ejuice and they are pretty terribad until I mixed something sweeter with them like Blueberry. And I mean like 3 parts Blueberry to 1 part Tobacco. I hear that alot of flavors need to be "steeped" in order to appreciate them, but I really wonder if it was the taste of Tobacco I ever liked or just the Nicotine fix. I think it was just the Nicotine I was after. Although to be honest these Tobacco flavors so far don't taste much like Tobacco to begin with. Kind of sort of, but not really close.

Anyways I want to thank everyone here for the information, and the youtube reviewers and content producers who gave me the 101 on Vaping. So far I really dig it, and as of right now I am totally sold. Already have plans to order some more tanks (aspire nautilus mini's), more flavors (banana, coffee, vanilla, caramel) and maybe some kind of rebuildable since that seems like the next progression.

I do believe that Vaping is healthier and maybe it's just Placebo, but I already feel better.

Awesome beginning! I'm only on day 3 and haven't reached for the 1/2 pack of Marlboros I still have. I'll agree with pretty much everything you've said. I've had a couple of fairly acute cigarette cravings but was able to mitigate them with some purposeful vaping. I'm using 24mg liquid and it's pretty potent. I'm going through 4-5ml of juice per day. I can't vape openly at work so I don't hit it hard during the work day.

As for the drinking and smoking relationship, I tied on a pretty good one last night and reached only for my vape gear, not the Reds. I know it's only been three days but I'm pretty confident that I can leave the Marlboros behind. For some reason, it is strangely comforting to know I've still got a 1/2 pack even though I currently have no intentions of smoking them.

Congrats, man! I've been 8 days without a combustible cigarette, and I'm doing OK, too. I'm avoiding all tobacco flavors, trying to wean myself off of it. Nothing but sweet & fruit for me. I'm doing 12mg nicotine and my favorite flavors so far are NicoTicket's Coolcumber Mint & Banana Pudding, and Alien Vapors Mounds. I'm also about halfway through losing 115 lbs. and am trying to hit two neuro-receptors at once with the nicotine and sweet.

Good luck, and welcome to the non-smokers!

Also, you'll love the Nautilus Mini. I switch between a regular Nautilus for my "all-day vape" and the Mini for my "after dinner dessert vape."

to ecf Ritual and congrats on the 4 days. You are well on your way. Isn't it fantastic? I do think you can tell immediately the health benefits. I started my friend vaping who had COPD really bad and I honestly could tell a difference in her cough in two days. After two weeks her respiratory doctor was shocked at her improvements. Good luck to you and I look forward to reading more about you and your vaping success. Don't hesitate to ask anything because there are always some pretty wonderful people around that want to help. Congrats again and happy vaping.
