hey guys. im about two weeks into the whole "vaping" scene. So far so good. Im an EMT, so of course by nature of the job,
smoking and drinking are almost a requirement. ha!
Ive been smoking for 15 years (since i was 14). I had taken a break a few times in the past few years, for a few days. BUT...i was right back at it in no time. Since i discovered vaping, i went from 1.5 packs/day to 2 analogs in the first day. I am now analog free for 8 days and it feels great.
The starter kit that I purchased was the Kanger EVOD kit with charger/5 extra coils, and (2) juices of choice.
The juices i started out on were Mountain Oak-Frostbite 18mg, and G2 Vapor Mr Cookie 18mg. I enjoyed both. I look forward to finding new info and participating in the forum.
I am upgrading slowly and not going from training wheels straight to the Cadillac. Today I purchased a Kamry x6 VV with an x9 protank.
As far as the tank goes, i would love recommendations for a good tank for the x6. I really like the way the Kanger Unitank looks, as well as the vapeonly bbc mega tank. I will take all recommendations into account though.
Also, I smoked Camel Menthol Lights, any recommendations for a supplier who has hit this flavor almost spot on?

....again, I look forward to the info and conversing/learning from the vets! Thanks guys

Congratulations, Res4cue on the 8 days analog free. You're three ahead of me. I'm pretty sure I couldn't have made it this far without gaping and the e-cigarette forum. The people here have been extremely helpful and supportive.

Good luck! I don't think there's anything you can do for yourself (and your family) better than being analog-free.

hello and welcome to ECF :)

a few things to keep in mind
New Vapor Info & Starter Kits
Some things to keep in mind:
  • Try to stick to pv's (personal vapors) that have both the 510 and ego connections this way you have all kinds of options when it comes to juice delivery systems.
  • Variable Voltage (vv) = everyone's taste is different so you can set your voltage up or down to help suit your needs as well as different juices and different juice delivery systems (cartomizers, tanks, ect) taste different at different voltages. (how many times can I say different)
  • Variable Wattage (vw) I haven't tried yet but assuming it is the same principle as stated above for vv.
  • Pass-through battery to be able to vape while charging.
  • the higher the mAh the longer the battery life
  • do you prefer a warm vape (top coil) or a cool vape (bottom coil)? top coil vs bottom coil tanks, to each their own...but go with glass or metal so that there's no worries about tank cracking juices.

Get a miniprotank2.
Your EVOD uses the eGo thread to screw on to the battery.
Your new protank as with the majority of newer tanks, uses the smaller 510 thread which causes a congested area competing for eletrical contact, fighting for airflow, while needing mechanical strength.

With a miniprotank you'll get back the solid eGo thread holding down your tank without rocking, less problems from overtightening on the center pin, less intoloerant of a minor leak into the 510 threadwell causeing gurgling.

I actually bought a pack of 11 miniprotanks but then I discovered the bases from them fit on my protanks! So I just use the bases on the protanks and get the best of both worlds.
