Hi everyone!

i started vaping 2 weeks ago, no cigarettes since. I'm a new addict! Haha. I have the itaste 134, which I really enjoy. I have been stalking the forums, and so I just got the MVP2, yet to open the box though. My most exciting addition is my recently ordered Reo Grand with the Reomizer 2. I cannot wait!

Does anyone have any tips for using the Reo? I ordered all the varying wire sizes, and picked up CVS sterile 100% rolled cotton. I have watched rebuild videos, and think I'll be fine with that.

Anyone else a "newbie" and got the Reo? What were your experiences like? Any coil tips, wick tips? Has anyone used the MVP 2 as an ohm reader? Is it reliable to use that as my bar for the Reomizer? I was going to get a multimeter, but figured for a few more bucks I could get another device, haha. Obsessed!

Thanks in advance for any tips!

I recently acquired a REO and RM2.

With your coil, start simple. Don't try to get too fancy yet. I like about a 1.3 to 1.5 ohm coil. I'm using 28 ga, 9 wrap, at .053 diameter mandrel. Less wick is more with these.

Don't over fill the bottle. Leave a little head space. Practice you squonk with the drip tip off, watching what happens with the liquid level. Keep a paper towel handy for wiping up drips, cuz you WILL over squonk through the air hole.

Good luck an welcome to REO Ville.

Edit: Your MVP will make a good ohm reader. I use my old Vamo as one. Make sure you check with the cap on the Atty to make sure you are not shorted to it.

Meet us in the Reo sub-forum: Reos Mods. Lots of very helpful stickies. This one is particularly helpful: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/413000-rm2-rba-2-0-reomizer-2-rebuild-tutorial.html. I followed the first build in the beginning posts for my first coil experience, EVER, and it turned out great. I'm new to Reo as well, so that's my only advice. But feel free to check us out in the sub-forum, since the majority of experienced Reo owners hang out there, and respond very quickly to any help needed posts. Congrats on an excellently chosen purchase!

Wow, you just fast tracked what was a 8 month journey of experimentation for me. For many of us, the Reo is the end state of vaping - no better combination of performance, convenience, simplicity, and durability. Many claim this or that is a game changer. The Reo is a whole other game.

Congrats on your choice :toast:

Do visit the Reo subforum - lots of tips, instruction, and (best of all) camaraderie.

Building, squonking, and grinning your face off will all become second nature to you in no time at all.

Build coils close to the air hole and lower to the deck. Raise coil up if you want more throat hit.
Have a comfy chair as many get a nic rush when they first start with the Reo and RM2.
You'll probably go through more juice, so order if you're getting low, many also drop their nic level because of the increase in vapor and usage.
Cut an inverted V in the bottom of the tube to keep it from suctioning to the bottle and cause feed issues.

didn't like the 1.5mm, Did change your ohms out of the sweet spot or you just playing?

I've gotten really accustomed to .055" coils and 29 ga. It just felt off using the slightly wider 1.5mm mandrel.

I think I love the slightly warmer vape from the .055" 10 wrap micro better:)
