Hello!

First of all, I love this forum! ECF was so helpful when determining my needs for hardware and juice! Thank you!!

I have smoked analogs for about 15 years and never really had the desire or motivation to quit. I just loved smoking  Over the last couple of years, it's been harder and harder to smoke....can't smoke in the house anymore, can't smoke at the bar, and I can't even smoke outside at my workplace (not even in my Jeep in the parking lot). So, I was kicking the idea of quitting analogs...just didn't know how to do it. My wife and I happened to be watching David Letterman one night and seen this actress touting her e-cig and vaping it with Dave...on the air! I was intrigued! I thought to myself "this could work!" I talked with my wife (who smokes and *wanted* to quit) about trying an e-cig as a way to quit smoking. We weren't sure what to do next, so i just googled "e-cig." OH MY! Too many results....too many suggestions....too many ads! Well....I just kept researching and stumbled across this site. I spent a couple of weeks reading and reading and visiting different vendor web sites from suggestions....and finally bought an eGo. It's the standard kit - 510 atty and carts. I also bought one for my wife.

After 6 days - - - We have not smoked an analog, nor crave one. I am amazed! I hope this can last and take the place of analogs!

We have tried about 8 different juices so far....I'm loving Wyatt Erp, my Wife likes the Peppermint.

Anyway, that's my story. Thanks for listening, and thanks for all the good info!

Good luck with your quit. A high percentage of others are having similar results as you. That's what's got everybody gaining, (and revenuers), from all the tobacco smokers continuing to use tobacco up in arms. If you have any desire at all to quit, after using eCigs, it's almost easier than falling of a log. The tactile aspect, the psychological aspect. . .and YOU have control over the NIC content. It just don't get much better than that.

Cheers,

Welcome to ECF and thank you for sharing such a great first-post-success story! I can tell you, as can a lot of people who have been vaping a lot longer than I have, that it will last! I really thought I like smoking until I started vaping. No way will I ever go back to late night gas station runs, stinking up my clothes, hair, house and car days. Besides, smoking NEVER tasted this damned good!

Congratulations! It will last. I've been vaping for over 4 months now (LOVE saying that!!) and I haven't looked back. At first I really just couldn't believe they were as good as they seemed, but now I'm a believer. The other shoe has never dropped. LOL
Anyway, congratulations, again. You chose a great PV for the two of you. Now it's all about getting adventuresome with juices. Nice story.
