Love this forum! I have learned so much lurking, I thought I should join in.

I was a 1- 1.5 PAD guy for 29 years. I have not smoked since last Sunday, and I am the most confident i have ever been that I won't go back.

I first tried vaping 2 years ago with cig-a-likes. I cut way back, but it didn't take. I quit for a couple of months last year with an ego but got a terrible sinus infection and returned to smoking. In the last two months I tried again. Once again, got a sinus infection as soon as I took up the ego. I then did some research on this forum and decided I was possibly allergic to PG. I found a local vapor shop last weekend and got some max VG juice.

I have not had an analog since last Sunday and have had no sinus problems at all. I used the new max VG juice and the ego and rarely even wanted an analog.

On Friday I got an MVP 2 and a pro tank. Wow what a difference! I am so pleased with this setup. It is worlds above what I was using. I have no desire for an analog even with my wife still smoking. Thank you to this forum for turning me on to this device and getting me away from the PG allergies. I have no doubt my analog days are over! Now I am going to convert my wife.

Welcome to the forum! It takes a while, but you can do it! Used to be a cigar/cigarillo/hookah guy myself, very rarely smoked cigs, but had averaged 2 cigarillos a day, with a cigar at least once a week, and that was after I stopped dipping. One of the things to look forward to is your taste buds coming back. The less you smoke, the better your senses are, so imagine how great those juices are gonna taste then!

I hope all goes well and good luck getting your wife to switch. If you are successful, please share! I have been analog-free for over a year now, but have had a heck of a time getting my wife to even seriously consider vaping. I can't even get her to walk into a vape shop and after a year of experimentation on my part, I have all the hardware she could possibly need. I think it is a visual thing. She perceives the PV as pacifier and I cannot argue the point...she is right! But a less harmful pacifier than the analogs!

I'm six weeks off a 25-year 2.5 PAD habit, myself. Started off with a Halo Triton kit, worked my way quicly through some Aspire dual-coil and Kanger Aero tanks, and have now arrived at a Reo (which is fantastic and will likely be my last device for a while.)

Funny you should mention the sinus infection. I too got one during the first few days off the cigs. I've been prone to them, though, and my experience has been that any change in my smoking habits (increasing, decreasing, or changing brands) is liable to bring one on, so perhaps not surprising. I shook this one within three days while continuing to vape whereas they usually settle in for at least a couple of weeks if I continue smoking.

Hey gators, welcome to ECF! E-cigs plus THIS place makes quitting downright fun! Glad you found a good setup; finding the right tool and the right ejuice is so important, or like you saw, it just doesn't 'stick'.

My wife is all for switching, but she doesn't like my fruit juices. She also is still using the ego. I am working to get her a more powerful device. We are also going to the vapor shop this weekend to try and find a flavor she prefers. I am thinking it is all a combination of flavor and device to get a combination that is better than smoking. At this point the combination I have is better than smoking by far.
