i have been browsing the site and the forum suppliers and after much reading and insight i have decided that flavor and decent vapor is the most important to meh... :vapor:(i love taste and visuals when i smoke) also the convenience of vaping on the go... i like the idea of a PCC but i am not sure which model would be best for the things i am looking for...especially since i would like to customize the e cig i get (color of the battery ..tip.. atomizer etc...)

i am also hoping for a 30-60 dollar price range..is that realistic? any help would be wonderful.. if you are going to suggest a brand/model.. please give meh personal experience along with your reason as to why its best.

i am also a bit nervous about maintenance on the products and though i have watched many videos i am a bit fried and overwhelmed with information. i just want to vape (meh first was a smoking everywhere and i have realized its not the best.. i got it off a friends g'ma who is a "supplier" and i think she ripped meh off.. o well live and learn.)

i love this site and i am happie i stumbled upon it... even if i am a bit confuzzled and nervous about posting...

o i also forgot to mention that i am planning on getting a manual as i have read they are easier to refill or "top off" which i am planning on doing (will be buying alot of different flavors to try out! soo excited!) so i hope this helps with the suggestions.. i was hoping to order a kit tonite but it seems like no one is on...so i will go have a smoke since meh smoke everywhere is out of carts.

Hiya nik0ness and welcome to the ECF! :))

I know EXACTLY where you're coming from regarding too much info! I'm still in the somewhat overwhelmed stages myself. I've only been vaping for 3 weeks, but loving it! I haven't felt a desire to smoke since starting. I use kr808d-1 with a mixture of manual and auto batts and it gives great vapor and flavor depending on the juice. It's really easy to refill the cartos with whatever flavor you want and they're compatible with the 901 if you want an atty to drip on for sampling flavors. You can even get adapters to frankenvape with mismatched batts and atty or cartos. In fact, I just read a thread here somewhere about carefully pulling the filling from 808 cartos and dripping in that. Now, I need to get me a passthrough so I can try some 5v vaping. Enjoy yourself! This is a great place!

edit: Just thought I would add that I believe the best flavor and vapor depends more on the juice mixture. PG carries flavor better, while VG gives more vapor. I'm looking to mix my first batch of custom juice this coming weekend and will probably try 60/40 pg/vg to start off. Flavor is just a touch more important to me. :p

i have been vaping for a year and use mods at this point, that being said i still have and use an ego. in my opinion you can't go wrong with an ego and it uses a 510 wich is the most common. every vender carries egos and that says alot. the ego batt comes in many sizes the higjer the mah the longer the charge will last. check a couple venders for best price, i like Ivape.net. good luck and have fun trying new flavors

The kr808 I think would be a good choice if you want a little more vapor. You can find 808 batts in diff colors. They run at 3.7v rather than 3.2 with most 510's. I think get some bloog max fusion, volt, drippers, or whatever they brand them cartomizers. There is also a nice pcc that goes with 808 mini's (shorter batts 65mm). I'd stay away from the other cigarette case looking pcc for 808. The small batteries come at a cost though. Short battery life. Get maybe 2 hours out of a batt before need to switch it out and charge. An ego is a great start for a longer battery life. They come in different colors if that's your thing and with many different carto options. Could get a passthrough battery which you can plug into any usb port and continue vaping while charging. Those are two options under $50. Love my ego and still use my kr808 batts. Just need the pcc or I like to have 4 bats around. The small batteries I like for out and about because they are more pocket friendly especially with a case. My 1050mah ego passthrough is a little long and the button can be pressed while in the pocket. Both work well and I'd take either over a 510 standard batt.

To really jump into vaping I'd go pick up a roughstack or maxi roughstack. ($40 and $45 respectively) Add batteries and a charger and it will be around $60-70. With this cheap mod when compared to others you can try 3.7, 5 and 6v with any carto or atty you want (with adapters for 808) Just need different batteries to change the voltage. This way you can really try whats out there. You can paint it how you like. Roughstack
Not for everyone but just a thought.

Good suggestion! More power is the answer to better vaping. If that is too much in the "different looking" department for you, then I would at LEAST get an eGo or Riva 510 as also suggested. Liberty Flights is a good supplier with very good pricing (click on the 20% button). I would also get some 24mg strength liquid to start out with and then adjust over time.

Just a little information about devices. There is a lot of rebranding in the ecig world so aside from mods what you get is pretty much the same as any other. Example: bloog max fusion=volt=V2=green smoke="other brand here" all= kr808 battery. The only thing you need to know is what a kr808 is and what a 510 is. They are different but all of there branding isn't. Cartomizers and atomizers are where you will find variation and the difference in your performace. These are all rebranded as well but you can find the basic kinds on the forum. Ego=riva while they may be different manufacturers they remain essentially the same. So it seems like there is more to sift through than there is. Hope that helps.

I totally agree with the above posts, more power is the answer to better vaping, and the Roughstack would be a good way to get there.

A lot of us experience the 'No Flavor Zone' for a week or more while our taste buds waken from their slumber, so just expect depending on your years on analogs that no matter what you choose, you could very possibly go through a flavor 'dead zone' and you just have to keep the faith through the days of no juice taste. I started ordering a few juices in 2x flavor to help me through and that worked well for me.

More Power helps in the taste department as well.

thankies everyone for the replies! :hubba: i took a look at your suggestions haft2doit and youre right the roughstick is a bit.. umm rough for meh lol! though i have been wondering if i should get a riva 510 or an ego... i am not sure which is better? :?:

i have also been batting the idea of just giving in and buying a DSE801 (i have heard these are grrreat on flavor and i do not mind the size.. i would rather longer than thicker as i have small hands... which is why i will not get a mod or box like pv..too uncomfy :nah:) for around the house like when i am sitting at meh computer (i would defiantly invest in a pass through battery)and than getting a 510 model with a pcc for on the go... but i am not sure on how the 510's stack up when it comes to vape and flavor.... mainly flavor... i am willing to shell out the money for both kits if i have to but i would rather just one kit for all meh needs you know? ... o are the kr808's better than the 510's? (in terms of flavor/vape and battery life)

all i know is i wanna get the order in soon as smoking the rest of meh dijarum blacks have been making meh sick :grr:ever since i started vaping last week... i wish i had more carts or at least some e liquid... not sure what would work on this smoking everywhere rn4081 tho... been trying to sort through all the info on the net and its hard to get meh head around it all!

kaderick thankies for the support and i too like ivape.net they have some decent prices!

qbass i envy you! wish i could vape right now.. grabs a smoke and mutters :smokie:**this will have to do for now** :(

Well as far as flavor that will depend on what cartomizer or atomizer you use. The small batts just differ on the voltage and life. kr808 batteries will last longer than a 510 in general. I like the higher voltage of the kr808. the 510 will be at a consistent voltage as you use it and the kr808 will drop off as you use it. 510 stays at 3.2v and kr808 starts at 3.7-4.2 and drops to 3.2 and shuts off. ego and riva are the same thing essentially so it comes down to if you want a passthrough battery or not and what size battery 650-1100mah. Some have a feature where you can shut it off by pressing the button 5 times as to not go off in your pocket. But again the flavor side of things is all about the atty or carto not the battery. Egos and rivas are 3.2v by the way. Although I think they came out with some true 3.7v versions.

If you like the small size and don't mind the short battery life and swapping batteries to the charger multiple times a day, get the 510 or kr808 (I'd do the kr808). If you want something that will last you all day but is longer and wider than the min batts, get an ego/riva. Then try different cartomizers or atomizers to get the flavor where you want it. The juice is the other part of the puzzle.

I think the 801 size atomizer is one of the best BUT not on a little 3.2-3.7 volt battery which is standard on the penstyle devices. You may find it works well for you. I find them too cool and airy on the small batteries. But on a 5 volt or variable volt device, such as the GLV2 from Great Lakes Vapor, the 801/BE112 or the mini-801 from IKENvape provide nice warm vapor and better flavor. You would be surprised that although a larger battery PV looks big in pictures, most fit very comfortably in your hand. Here is the GLV2 web site: Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor

haft2doit thankies again for some awesome replies and feedback :)i went ahead and looked into your suggestions and while they were very informative i decided on getting the 810 for at home usgae while on meh pc and the 510 for whenever i am afk

wv2win you make a good point about the battery and if down the line i decide its too cool of a vape for meh i will look into a mod.. but at this point its not just a matter of how big the mods look but how comfy it will be in meh hand (its bad enough i have small hands but i have issues with meh joints that i am on meds for but sometimes they cramp up so bad i have to just use meh index and thumb to smoke or index and middle finger.. with a pen style it would just be easier on meh for those bad days)

fi3nds its not about throat hit for meh its about the taste of the flavor in meh mouth.. i realized with the smoke everywhere brand rn4081 the liquid would get burnt up so fast i could hardly taste anything and by the time i could the liquid was GONE... burnt through 5 carts in one day it sucked so bad! the EGO-T looks very interesting and i am tempted to try a tank system out but right now money is tight and i would rather get 2 kits with more batteries e juice and accessories than just one system...

i was hoping to get some responses from people who were more experience with the 810 or other systems that have better flavor/vapor... :( either way thankies everyone for trying to help

Some may disagree but the ego-t isn't known for very good flavor. It sacrifices flavor for less hassle. I would steer clear based on your requirements. Yeah sorry I don't have any experience with 801's. Now that you have your devices squared away, try some different cartomizers. That's where you can find some better flavor. Carts tend to mute flavors. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

The 801 is a good PV and is what I started with 18 months ago. That being said if I was starting out today and wanted a small pv I would go with the volt or similar model. They have a good auto battery and excellent carto. When you want a little larger I would recommend the 650 auto Echo that has a 3 ml carto and you can also use your smaller 808 cartos too.

I have a Riva with a 900mah battery.Started out with a Joye 510 slim and it just wasn't enough.Spent more time running around charging then anything else. The Riva is a nice go getter that I'm 100% happy with.Far as what juice to get.....Hazelnut....lol.I just got some Hazelnut this past Saturday from Freedomsmokeusa.Mine was 36mg with a 50/50 mix of pg/vg with extra flavor. It is now my all day vape. That is just my opinion though, not saying in anyway that's what you should get.I was having problems with what kit, flavor of juice, and nic level to get.So what I wrote above this line is what worked for me.So good luck and best wishes going from analogs to a PV.
