Definitely recommend the Volt. I actually use it every day. It's the only method I have at the time. I have been using it since I started vaping in April. I use the shorter 65mm batts, but wish I would have gotten the 78s. The Blu disposable is actually larger than the volt system, so you definitely will have something closer to the size of analogs. Everything passed along so far about the Volt is pretty much dead on. The battery life is awesome for being so small. I get about 2.5 hours out of the 65s with a pretty steady amount of vaping. The product choice from Smokeless Image is amazing and the customer service is the best, bar none. If going with a kit, I recommend getting the mega charger as the option. It has a place for a fully assembled pv, a spot for charging an extra battery and holds 3 cartomizers. It is rechargeable itself and will take care of you for the entire day if not longer since you don't smoke much.

I didn't realize the blu disposable was bigger than the volt. Is that just the 65mm or does that include the 78mm too?

I was looking at that exact kit and had come to the same conclusion concerning the mega charger.

Thanks!

Someone is saying they smoke 2-5 cigarettes a day, and she likes the feel of her Blu disposable but wants to be able to refill and she's being advised to get a vv device?

Smokeless Image Volts would work just fine. Grab a 2 battery kit, 78mms last time and a half what the 65mms are and cost $1 more but they are a little longer. You'll get a pack of cartomizers with the kit, they're refillable and you can buy juice from them or from any vendor you want.

Once you have your kit, you can go to the smokeless image forum on this site, and look for the faces of volt thread. Post a picture of yourself with a volt logo, and you get a free battery, pack of cartos, or bottle of juice.

Thanks for the great advice and for listening. I will definitely check out the faces of volt thread!

I know you will be happy with it, and you just had a world of juice flavors open up to you also.

And as you don't smoke often it shouldn't be too hard for you, I been an almost 3 pack a day smoker for the last 5 to 10 years, been smoking for the last 27 years, tried almost everything in the past to quit and none of it helped me. E-cigs have helped me make the change over a lot easier than I would have ever dreamed

The 78s are also shorter than the Blu and I believe smaller in diameter too. You can get a sample pack with that kit to try 5 different flavors, either sweet or smooth I think. The smooth is the tobacco flavors if that interests you. I liked them all but one. Good luck to you and we look forward to sharing in your vaping experience. :vapor:

You can find the cartomizers on smoklessimage.com under the cartomizer tab at the top. You have a choice of regular or XL when you click "add to cart". The only difference is the XL is longer and holds more liquid. Performance is the same. Under the same tab there is also a Ce3 clear bottom coil cartomizer. Those don't have any filler and require a syringe to fill. I haven't used them, but people love them. Either option would be fine for the 65mm or 78mm batteries.

For the X2 batteries, (under accessories) you'll also find clearomizers. (I don't recommend these on the smaller batteries because of diameter).... those are filled by dripping from the bottle and allow you to see the liquid, not much different than the Ce3. ANY option works on the X2 battery. Standard, XL, or Ce3 works on the smaller batteries.

I would recommend either the eGo 510-T or just the standard Ego 510 kit.... Simple to use and better than the KR808 style in overall quality. Not to mention if you decide to branch out and try items like clearomizers or other types of atty's or carto's, you will be all set up and won't need any kind of adapters.... I also might add it will be cheaper.... KR808 carto's can get to be quite expensive as your vaping journey goes on.... Here are a couple of links to the cheapest prices on the internet for most eGo items....

JOYE 510-T (TANK) ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE - BLACK $29.99 /kit
JOYE 510 ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE - BLACK $32.99 /kit

Thanks Jen! Think I just want to stick with carts for now. :)

I have to agree with what someone else said on the thread - I don't think you should start with low nic - you won't be satisfied and that is key to making the switch. You can go down on the nic gradually. I decided to go from 18 to 12 within a few weeks of vaping and I was not getting my craving curbed so I went back to 18. Also the nic is not to be worried about unless you have high blood pressure or are over 35 and on the pill. With as little as you smoke it should not be a problem.

Thanks for the advice. I will have to think about that. Being over 40 it makes me a bit nervous about the blood pressure thing. I have had high blood pressure in the past, but after loosing 90 lbs it is okay right now. I don't want to risk it going back up. But maybe I should consider medium instead of low. Hmmm.... So much to think about.

It depends on what and how you smoke. I smoked Ultra Lights and was far more addicted to the habit of smoking than the nicotine. I also didn't like throat hit, it messes with my asthma. Even thought I was a pack a day smoker, I started right at 12mg and I'm still there. It's really subjective. Get some prefilleds with your kit in a medium strength.... then you can shop around for juice and get higher or lower, and if you go too high, you can always cut it with some 0 nic or something lower to get something in the middle.

I did it a little differently. I was a pack or so smoker per day. I decided I would go with the low nic option. 8 mg. I have only lapsed once in over a month. (about half a pack) Haven't touched one in over a couple weeks.

I do get some withhdrawl - but it is manageable. Recently I got some 12 mg stuff because I read that the higher mg may help. The 12 mg was too much. I cannot vape it. So I am back to my 8 mg stuff and using my gum as a kicker when needed because I can't vape at work.

I support all the Volt recommendations. :) In terms of juice and carts and nicotine, its really gonna be your own personal preferance. You might like 18 or 24mg nic, or low ones like 6 or 12. Id try one of each and see what works best for you. Off of the Volt site you can grab some pre filled cartomizers to try their juice and the ones you like you can then refill and order bottles. After that then you can explore all the awesome juice vendors and try different flavors etc. It may seem daunting at first but it really isnt. We've all been there and everyone on this forum is super nice and here to support you
