Hello! I've smoked for 30 years.... and I bought this evap & haven't had a cig in 2 weeks. I don't want one!. Why doesn't everyone in the world do this instead??? Wow, sooooo pleasant and no stinky air, stinky hair, or stinky breath... no clouds on smoke in the room or car, I'm so happy! But... little questions if I can, I've been reading but am a bit mixed up on a few things...

I bought a EVOD DESAY 1000 mAh Kit. It has an on-off button... I'm assuming that's so it doesn't turn itself on if it gets bumped in my purse? Is it okay to leave it on all the time? you have to click the button 5 times in 2 seconds to turn it on or off... after that it's a solid press of the button to do the vap drag. it has a dial for battery strength, goes from 3.2 to 4.8. I find I want it full on in the morning but later in the day that seems too strong so I lower it. But the box instructions don't say I can just leave it on, is it still using battery power if I just leave it on when I'm home & using it off& on..?

And the battery... I can't see where I can change the battery, it recharges by plugging it into the USB port on my computer, kinda cool... but do I have to wait till the battery runs out before I charge it? Or can I charge it for an hour here and there just so it's fully charged when I go out and about? And what about the charge... it takes about 3 hours to charge it, I want a vape in the meantime... so i unplugged it, took a vape then plugged it back in. Is that okay?

Now I must read up on mixing the liquid, flavors and all that. My vanilla liquid is only 20mg nictotine... and cost $7.00 for 15ml... it looks like I can do much better than that price by mixing... ?

sorry so many questions, I just need info to clarify things...!
Thanks!

- they can get accidentally turned on inside a purse; not likely, but it can happen

yes you can leave it on generally (not inside the purse)

That kind you don't change the battery; the replaceable battery mods mainly in use, use 18650 batteries (18mm diameter x 65mm length) replaceable batteries

No you don't have to wait till it stops before charging; its actually better to give it a for an hour here and there;

Yes you can save alot by doing some of your own mixing.
I buy 24mg PG only, and add my own glycerin to slash cost 4 fold

You don't change the battery on those, you just charge them. When I was using that type of battery I had several of them so I'd fully discharge one before charging it since I had others waiting in the wings. As for leaving it on, I probably wouldn't leave it turned on with it in my purse, but if it's just laying on a coffee table or desk somewhere not a big deal.

I haven't done DIY juice yet, one day...not today but one day...

First, let me say congrats on your first 2 weeks smoke free:toast:

One thing I'd add is to get a 2nd battery ASAP. It's always good to have a backup so you're never in the situation where you're tempted to have a cig. Plus that way you have one to vape while the other is charging.

Oh, & most batts have a 16sec auto cut off so that would take care of your batt incase it fired in your purse for some reason. Personally, I'd still power it off before I stuck it in my bag since I imagine your vape might not taste too good after that:laugh:

From what I understand, a good vanilla is hard to come by so you may want to cheapen the cost by buying larger bottles if possible. Are you buying it from a B&M? If so I'd check & see if you can buy the same brand online since it's usually cheaper than buying juice straight from a B&M. DIY can certainly save you some $$$& it's fairly easy to learn once you have everything you need so make sure you check out the DIY section of the forum:)

Some batteries, like my rechargeable camera battery says it's best to wait till the battery is OUT before charging, the camera even has a button to drain out the last of the battery so then you can recharge them -- that's why i was asking about the battery on this. But good to know I can just recharge for an hour so it does't run out if I have errands..
so if I buy another battery, thats another bottom portion? Or another whole Pen thing?
thanks!

Most of the batteries for vaping don't have the same issues as your camera battery so there prob isn't the need to drain the battery before charging it fully again.

You could just buy another battery/bottom portion if you're all set on tanks for the time being. I'd probably go with whichever is most cost effective. It may be a better deal to get the tank & battery together depending on where you're getting it from. If the price is better then you've got an extra tank too:)
