Great site here, it's the best resource for information that I have found and the wealth of information you've all shared here helped me decide to switch from analogs to e-cigs. I had tried a low-budget njoy e-cig a friend was using and wanted to look for something a little more flexible and that would last longer between times I had to tinker with it or change the battery even.

Got a Joy eGo starter kit from cignot, where I can attest that Vicki's reputation for great advice is well-deserved. Got two 1000 maH eGo-T type batteries with it and they really do last a long time. About a day and a half for me and I vape semi-constantly. Thus far, I've tried the atomizer with cart and the some fluxomizer XL carts, and an eGo DCC. Started off with tobacco-flavored juices but starting now to try some fruity-flavored ones and enjoying the fact that I'm not just trying to recreate the illusion that I'm still smoking.

It's only been a couple weeks and already I feel better. My lungs feel better. I feel a great deal better about the fact I will save money over analogs, unless I decide to amass a collection of vaping hardware, which I suppose would add up.

There's so much information, so many different products, and some great discussions with folks arguing several different sides and providing a lot of help here. I just wanted to say thank you for this resource and for this site.

Welcome to ECF Centurion. I have an eGo, and starting using smoktech dual cartos about a week ago, and for me they are great. You will find answers to just about anything you can come up with here, it's chock full of information heheh. As you can see from my sig, I haven't been at it too long, either, but I've learned a lot since I signed up. I'm even making my own juices now (not the greatest, but I save a ton of $$). Any problem or questions just ask, and you will be rewarded with all the answers you can safely digest (and then some)

Thank you all for the warm welcome :)

The Myth, I know it's only been a short time for me, but I there is hope. I'd encourage you to try one of the personal vaporizers that seems held in high regard here, and there are several (heh, hundreds probably if you dig deep enough). I smoked for 17 years, I 'quit' probably a dozen times, for between about as brief as possible for up to 6 months smoke-free. In each case I went back but this is unlike the patch and other replacement methods that give you nicotine but without the active habit/manual fixation thing. This gives me something to do with my hands, something to puff away on, the nicotine (which I personally control and can taper off in time), and I never have to burn a hole in another piece of clothing or furniture again, or stink up the world with smoke. Unlike my other attempts, the only things I'm missing now are the aspects of smoking that I never enjoyed at all and that became inconvenient, expensive, and a bit stigmatizing perhaps. A win-win.

Balthezar, if you lived where I live you'd already have saved about $23 dollars, and that's just for those 42 analogs you've passed up so far. ;)

hairball, thank you for the tips. I'm trying to focus on getting the right hardware but before that even some really nice juices. I've initially ordered some tobacco Pyramid and Americano juices with some Fluxomizer XLs, used the atomizer/carts that came with the eGo a wee bit, and some juices from Ethan ay vapelicious (the tastiest I've had so far), and some from Annette at virginvapor which are in the mail now. Again, I thank this forum and its users for me even knowing that those were great juices to try. I'll definitely give resurrectors a look, thank you. Thus far I've only tried the two methods I mentioned, and one eGo dual clear carto LR, but I'm about to try a few others too so I can hopefully find ones I feel comfortable buying a bunch of.

I have a lot of reading to do :D
