Hi, My name is Stephen and I'm a vaper. HAHA

I used Chantix in June of 12 to quit smoking. I quit for three years until my ex-wife revealed to me that she had been having multiple affairs and left me for another man, abandoning me and our children. After three years, I picked up a pack of smokes and started again. I smoked for 11 months until, one day during a weekend trip, my 12 year old son asked me to stop smoking. I told him I would after that pack. I did. I bought a vape pen (Zig-Zag 650 mah) at a gas station for $27. First bottle of juice was tobacco flavor 1.8%. That was a month ago. I haven't smoked a actual cigarette since. I have really gotten into vaping. I've upgraded from my 650 to a 1300 mah pen and will be getting my first box very soon. I think I'm going with a sigelei. Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. Any comments on what equipment to use will be appreciated. I'm new and learning.

Welcome.
Sigelei are good; they are the only make of mods I own with 100% reliability. To me, that makes them better the Joyetech although most makes are quite good these days. It's a shame newbies often buy mods which, by statistics, are rubbish. Two companies in particular have very bad track records. One begins with E and the other S. Avoid if you can.

I got a Sig 213 at Vapefest. It won't do 213w, it suffers strange doings with Nickel temp control. By Sigelei standards it's a 'lemon'. However it does Stainless beautifully and is great for high power RDA should you wish. It looks great and the 2 batteries last a long time. :)

Welcome to ECF and Congrats on getting back to Cig free status. Best wishes on your journey.
I didn't read about a Tank to go with that Sigelei?
Don't know enough about tanks to know which one I want.
I like the tank in the Smok video with the swing open top, that loads from the top. Simple suits me better than complicated.

Welcome to ECF and back to vaping, @ChickenWing !

With all the improvements and choices available today, perhaps a bit more information might aid in providing pertinent advice on what might fit best.

For mods, what is more/most important to you? Price, size, battery life, internal/external batteries, power level, temp control, aesthetics? Will probably be unlikely to get everything you want/like in one mod, but working towards having at least one back-up, can cover most preferences with a couple mods eventually.

For tanks, there are a ton of choices and the tank(s) you chose could narrow down option on a mod (or two :D). I would suggest going with two tanks allowing you to easily change flavors if you like. Sounds like you are used to a mouth-to-lung higher ohm tank, so will leave that to those more knowledgeable in that area to suggest some (I have been subΩ only for quite a while). For a second tank, the TFV4 you mention is a nice subΩ tank (I have several) that will require some pretty good power and drink the juice. Another option would be the Kanger Sub Mini that comes with 1.2Ω and a 0.5Ω coils, giving you the option to try subΩ without losing the option of staying higher if it is not to your liking. It also comes with an RBA deck should you ever decide to try building your own coils. There are many other options, those are the ones I use and am happy with.

There are also some mod/tank kits available that many really like, but again, I am not familiar with those so will leave that to others.

Even narrowing it down with more information, there are a ton of choices out there. Good luck and keep off the analogs! :vapor:

Well it would depend on what type of Vaping you're looking to do. Flavor or vapor production?
Aspire puts out the easiest to work with IMHO and many top fill tanks with also a variety of replaceable Atty Heads. Smok might offer the same but not familiar with them as much. Also Kangertech is another company I would suggest. Let us know what you choose and always ask away when needed.
Enjoy your journey

Good clones of the Taifun GT2 v2 can be had now for around $12 and it is an *excellent* MTL flavour tank - the best vape I've ever had, in fact.

I've also got a Kayfun v3+ and a Flash-e-Vape v3 on the way - both of which, especially the FeV, are also famously flavourful MTL tanks.

I've been doing research practically all day.

I've decided to go with the Sigelei 213W TC in Gold with the Sigelei Moonshot 24 as my primary tank and a Taifun GT2 v2 as my back up tank.
Also getting a coil build tool kit and going to teach myself how to build my own coils and do my own wicks.
If I'm gonna do it, might as well do it right.

The good thing about vaping is there are so many choices. The bad thing about vaping is there are so many choices.

It's good that you started on low power devices. Keep things low powered for as long as possible, may be forever. There is an adjustment process and a learning curve. The adjustment can take a year. The learning can go for years. I bet there will be a Phd program in Vapeology someday.

My vape is in the signiture area below and hasn't changed at all in months and may be it never will. I don't chase flavor or clouds. I just vape.
